A kart racing game for the whole family

Kart racing is racing at its silliest and friendliest. The karts are small, the tracks are twisty, and first place is never safe, because somebody behind you is about to pick up a mystery box. Kart Racing Grand Prix 3D gives you eight colourful tracks and seven animal rivals, including Bunny, Fox, Panda and Frog. It takes only a few seconds to learn, and a race lasts about two minutes.

It plays in full 3D in your web browser, on a computer, tablet or phone, with nothing to download and no account. Nobody gets hurt on these tracks. The worst that can happen is that your kart spins around a few times and you glare at a banana.

Mystery boxes and items

Rows of spinning ❓ boxes stand across the track. Drive through one and you get a random item, shown in the slot at the top of the screen. You can only carry one at a time, so use it before the next row of boxes. There are four items:

🍌 Banana. Drops behind your kart and stays on the track. Anyone who drives over it spins out, and that includes you on the next lap, so remember where you left it. ⚡ Zap boost. A burst of speed that is great on straights and for getting back on the road after a mistake. 🫧 Bubble shield. Wraps your kart in a bubble for eight seconds, and the next hit only pops the bubble. 🚀 Bubble rocket. Flies along the track after the kart directly ahead of you and spins it out.

The boxes are fair in a way that helps close races. Karts near the front mostly get bananas and shields, while karts near the back get more rockets and boosts. Even after a bad start you can come back.

How to drift

Hold Space, or DRIFT on a touch screen, while steering into a corner. The back of the kart slides out and it turns much more tightly. Hold the drift for more than half a second, then let go as you straighten up, and you get a speed boost. The longer the drift, the longer the boost, up to more than a second and a half.

A good driver drifts through almost every corner. Start a little early, keep the kart pointed at the inside of the bend and let go as the road opens up. Drifting too long costs speed and can run you into the wall, so short and clean beats long and wild.

Two player split screen

On a computer you can race a friend on one keyboard. Tick Two players on the setup screen and the screen splits in half. Player 1 uses W, A, S and D, Space to drift and E for items. Player 2 uses the arrow keys, right Ctrl to drift and Enter for items. Both of you race against the same animal rivals, and the results show who won. Split screen is not available on phones, since there would not be enough room for two sets of buttons.

Eight tracks

Sunny Park is a wide and easy place to learn. Sandy Shores has broad beach bends, and Frosty Peaks has snowy hairpins. Cactus Canyon is fast and flowing, while Neon Night takes you through glowing city streets with three boost pads. Rocky Ridge is the tightest and twistiest of all, Sunset Speedway has long straights, and the Champions Cup brings everything together with the quickest rivals. All of them are open from the start.

Four karts to unlock

A win earns three stars, a podium place two and any other finish one. Only your best result on each track counts. You start in Zippy. Six stars unlock Splash, twelve unlock Clover and eighteen unlock Comet, the fastest kart in the game. Each kart has better acceleration, grip and speed than the last. Your progress is saved in your browser on this device.

Tips for winning

Keep a banana for when someone is right behind you, not just as soon as you get it. If you have a shield and you see a rocket coming, you can relax.

If you are in front, stay on the racing line, but an item is usually worth a small detour. Boxes sit in the middle and at both sides of the road, so you can often grab one without leaving your line.

If you hit the wall or go the wrong way, press R. It puts you back on the road right away.

Your rivals slow down a little if they get far ahead and speed up a little if they fall far behind, so there is nearly always someone close to race with.

Kart games and school

Kart Racing Grand Prix 3D runs in any modern browser with no download, which is why people look for it as an unblocked kart game. Whether it opens on a school or work network depends on that network's filter, so we cannot promise it will always be unblocked.

Frequently asked questions

What do the mystery boxes give me?

One of four items: a banana to drop behind you, a zap speed boost, a bubble shield for eight seconds, or a bubble rocket that chases the kart ahead of you.

How do I play with two players?

On a computer, tick Two players on the setup screen. Player 1 uses W A S D, Space and E. Player 2 uses the arrow keys, right Ctrl and Enter. The screen splits in half.

Can I play two player on a phone?

No. Split screen needs a keyboard, so the option only appears on computers. One-player racing works well on phones and tablets.

How do I get a drift boost?

Hold Space or DRIFT while steering through a corner for more than half a second, then let go. A longer drift gives a longer boost.

How do I unlock new karts?

Earn stars: 3 for a win, 2 for a podium and 1 for a finish, counting your best result on each track. Karts unlock at 6, 12 and 18 stars.

Is it suitable for young children?

Yes. There is no violence: being hit only spins your kart around. Rivals also ease off when far ahead, so younger players can stay in the race.

Is this game unblocked?

It runs in your browser with no download, but whether it opens at school or work depends on that network's filter, so we cannot promise it. If anonarcade.com opens, the game will work.
