💥 Demolition Derby 3D

Last car running wins: ram your rivals nose first, watch the panels fly off and keep your engine alive!

⭐ Stars: 0 / 15 🏆 Wins: 0 💥 Cars wrecked: 0

How to play

  • Pick a car and an arena, then press Enter the arena.
  • After the countdown, hold W or ↑ (GAS) and steer with A and D or ← and →. Hold S or ↓ to brake and reverse.
  • Ram the other cars. Your nose is the strongest part of your car, so aim it at their doors.
  • Keep your own sides away from their noses. Side hits do the most damage.
  • Hold Space (BOOST) for a burst of speed, then watch the orange bar refill.
  • Drive over a green wrench to repair your car, or an orange gem to refill your boost.
  • When a car's health runs out it waves a white flag. Be the last car running to win!

A demolition derby game where the last car running wins

A demolition derby is the simplest motor sport there is. A group of old cars go into a muddy arena, they crash into each other on purpose, and the last one still moving wins. There is no track, no lap count and nowhere to hide. Demolition Derby 3D puts you behind the wheel of a battered old banger with up to seven rivals around you, in full 3D in your web browser, with nothing to download and no account.

The damage here is pure cartoon. Panels and bumpers fly off, cars crumple and start to smoke, and when one has had enough it stops and raises a little white flag. Nobody gets hurt. There are no injuries, no fire and nothing nasty to see. It is the fun of a toy-car crash, on a much bigger scale.

Hit with your nose, protect your sides

The one rule that really matters in a derby is where you get hit. The front of your car is the strongest part, and it takes less than half the normal damage in a crash. The back is about average. The sides are the weak spot, and take half as much damage again. Drive your nose into someone's door and they suffer badly while you get away with a dent. Let them do the same to you and your race could be over in a few hits.

That turns every fight into a little dance. You try to turn so that your nose is pointing at them and your doors are not. Backing away from a charging car and letting it hit your front is often a smart move. Speed counts as well: a gentle nudge does nothing, while a full-speed charge does a huge amount of damage, so give yourself a run-up.

Weight matters

A heavy car shoves a light car around and takes less damage from it. A light car is quicker and turns tighter, so it can get round to the side of a big one before it can respond. Rivals vary too. Watch out for the big vans and SUVs, and pick on the small cars when your own health is low.

Wrenches and boost

Every few seconds a pick-up appears somewhere in the arena, with a tall beam of light so you can spot it from a long way off. They also show up as coloured squares on the small map. A green wrench repairs thirty percent of your health, though it does not put your lost panels back. An orange gem refills your boost. The rivals want them too, and damaged cars will go after a wrench, so you can sometimes catch one on its way there.

Your boost gives you a big burst of speed for as long as the orange bar lasts, and it refills only slowly. Save it for a charge across the arena, or to escape when you are about to be hit from the side.

Five arenas

Dirt Bowl is a friendly first round with three rivals. Mud Pit has four, and very little grip, so everything slides and your aim has to allow for it. The Junkyard has piles of scrap in the way, which are great for hiding behind and terrible to hit at speed. County Fair puts you against five tougher drivers in front of a packed crowd. The Stadium Final is the big one: seven rivals, at night, under the floodlights. All five are open from the start.

Each round has a three-minute clock. If more than one car is still running when time is up, the healthiest one wins, so it is not always wise to hide and hope.

Stars and cars

Win an arena for three stars, come second for two and third for one. Your best result in each arena counts, for up to fifteen stars. You start in the Old Sedan, a solid all-rounder. Three stars unlock the Rocket Hatch, which is light and quick. Seven unlock the Tank SUV, and eleven unlock the Battle Van, the heaviest and toughest of them all. Your stars and your total of cars wrecked are saved in your browser on this device.

Tips for lasting longer

Do not rush to the middle at the start. Everyone drives towards the centre and the first big crash happens there. Hold back for a moment, then pick off whoever comes out of it damaged. Smoke is a clue: the car with black smoke is nearly finished, and you want your name on that wreck.

Keep moving. A stopped car is an easy target for a side hit. And do not be afraid of the reverse gear: if a car is coming for your door, backing up and turning your nose towards it costs you nothing and saves a lot of damage. Walls will hurt only if you hit them very fast, so they are safe to use for a quick turn.

Can I play this car smash game at school?

Demolition Derby 3D runs in any modern browser with no download, which is why people look for it as an unblocked car game. Whether it opens on a school or work network depends on that network's filter, so we cannot promise it will always be unblocked.

Frequently asked questions

Is this game violent?

It is cartoon crashing only. Cars lose panels, smoke and wave a white flag when they are beaten. There are no injuries, and you never see a driver get hurt.

How do I do the most damage?

Hit other cars in the side with your nose at high speed. The nose takes the least damage and the sides take the most, and faster hits do far more.

How do I repair my car?

Drive over a green wrench. It restores 30 percent of your health. Pick-ups appear with a tall beam of light and show on the small map.

What happens when the time runs out?

Each round lasts three minutes. If several cars are still running at the end, the healthiest one wins.

How do I unlock new cars?

Earn stars: 3 for winning an arena, 2 for second and 1 for third. Cars unlock at 3, 7 and 11 stars.

Is this game unblocked?

It runs in your browser with no download, but whether it opens at school or work depends on that network's filter, so we cannot promise it. If anonarcade.com opens, the game will work.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. It runs in 3D with on-screen steering, gas, brake and boost buttons. It is free, with no sign-up.
