👻 Pixel Art Coloring: Retro Critters

Fill in the numbered squares to build a blocky retro ghost, one pixel at a time.

Real pixel art, built square by square

Pixel Art Coloring: Retro Critters swaps the curved regions of a normal color by number page for a grid of square pixel blocks, like a classic retro video game sprite. Every square carries a number that matches exactly one color in the palette, so picking the right color and clicking every matching square builds up a blocky ghost character correctly every time, no matter what order you work in.

The grid uses four numbered colors across thirty-seven squares, a chunkier and more retro feel than the site's illustrated coloring scenes. The built-in Hint button flashes every remaining square for the color you have selected if you get stuck, and once the picture is complete, use the Print button to print it out on paper, or Save Image to download a PNG copy.

Progress saves automatically to your own browser, so a half-finished pixel critter is still there if you come back later. Browse more numbered and free-draw coloring pages on the Coloring Games hub.

Frequently asked questions

What is pixel art coloring?

Instead of curved regions like a normal coloring page, the picture is made of square pixel blocks, like a classic retro video game sprite. Pick a numbered color and click every square marked with that number to build up the image, block by block.

Can I print my finished pixel art?

Yes. Once you finish, or any time while coloring, use the Print button to print the current picture, or the Save Image button to download a PNG copy to your device.

Does my progress save if I close the page?

Yes. Your pixel art is saved automatically to your own browser as you go, so it's still there if you come back later on the same device.

Do I need an account or downloads to play?

No. It's free, works instantly in your browser on a computer, tablet, or phone, and never asks for an account.
