Open-ended building and physics games for kids

Pixel Dig is the biggest sandbox on AnonArcade: mine ore, craft better tools, build shelter, and fend off creatures at night across a seeded 2D world that regenerates identically every time you load it. Backyard Builders is a lighter, grid-based building game: place walls, roofs, and decorations from a daily supply of pieces that tops up over time, and your structure never gets wiped.

Bounce Lab and Chain Reaction Lab are physics playgrounds built on the same underlying engine. Bounce Lab drops jointed ragdoll test dummies into a scene full of trampolines, fans, magnets, and portals; Chain Reaction Lab is a Rube-Goldberg-style puzzle where you place ramps, levers, and fans to route a ball into a goal across three hand-built chambers. Contraption Chaos uses the same engine for a build-and-test twist: place ramps, springs, and boosters to guide a little cart across six increasingly tricky obstacle courses, with unlimited free retries to iterate on your design.

3D physics sandboxes and simulations

For bigger experiments, Ragdoll Stunt Lab fires a floppy crash-test dummy from a cannon through hoops, balloons and trampolines, and Ragdoll Pillow Duel is a wobbly pillow fight on a mattress for one player or two. Demolition Simulator brings down walls, towers and skyscrapers with charges, a cannon and a wrecking ball, and Marble Run Builder lets you build a 3D marble track up to seven levels high, then watch the marbles roll.

Elements Sandbox is a falling-sand game where sand, water, lava, fire, oil, acid and many more elements react with each other, and Game of Life Lab is a playground for Conway's Game of Life, with famous patterns, different rule sets and challenges. Frequently asked questions

What is a sandbox game?

A sandbox game gives you tools and open space instead of a fixed level to beat. Pixel Dig lets you mine, craft, and build across a whole generated world; Backyard Builders and Bounce Lab give you a fixed set of pieces or tools to experiment with freely.

Do sandbox games save my progress?

Yes. Pixel Dig and Backyard Builders both save what you've built locally in your browser, so it's there the next time you visit on the same device. Bounce Lab has save slots for your favorite physics scenes.

Is Bounce Lab violent?

No. The ragdoll test dummies in Bounce Lab are built from jointed parts that physically can't come apart, so the physics comedy stays silly rather than gory by design.
