WordQuest Isles is a daily word-guessing game built on the same core rules as Wordle: guess a 5-letter word in 6 tries, with green, yellow, and gray feedback after each guess. The word is picked deterministically from the day of the year, so everyone playing on a given day solves the exact same puzzle, and solving it unlocks a new island on your map and extends a daily streak. Quad Word Guess takes that same Wordle-like formula and quadruples the pressure: four hidden five-letter words at once, arranged in a 2x2 grid, sharing one pool of nine guesses across all of them. Solving one board locks it in and stops using up guesses, so the puzzle gets a little easier as you go even as the remaining boards demand more precision.

Spell Sprint turns spelling and typing practice into a falling-object arcade game: a word drifts down from the top of the screen and you have to type it out, letter by letter, before it lands, on a physical keyboard or the built-in on-screen keyboard. Three difficulty tiers change the word length and fall speed, so it scales from a first typing game to real speed practice.

Word Hunt is a word search with 4 themed word lists (Animals, Space, Ocean, Sports), and every grid is freshly generated by actually placing that round's words on the board. Click the first and last letter of a word to select it, forward or backward, with diagonals added on Medium and Hard. Word Search is this site's flagship version of the genre: 8 themed word banks, 6 difficulty tiers that scale grid size and add backward and diagonal directions, a 5-board theme-unlock progression, and a real print/download button for solving on paper. Word Search Maker flips the format into a tool: type your own word list and it generates a real puzzle grid around it, no login or software needed to build a custom word search for a classroom or a party.

Mini Crossword is a themed criss-cross puzzle in the same spirit as a real newspaper mini: words cross at shared letters to build a real grid, 14 rotating themes, a daily mode everyone shares plus unlimited practice. Crossword Maker is the tool version: type your own list of words and one clue each, and it builds a real interlocking crossword grid around them automatically, solvable on-screen or ready to print and solve on paper.

Word Scramble hands you a jumbled word from one of six themed categories (Animals, Food & Drink, Nature & Weather, Sports & Games, School & Home, Space & Ocean) plus a Mixed option, and you rebuild it by clicking the scrambled letters, or typing, into the right order. No timer, no penalty for a wrong guess, just unlimited practice building a streak, with a Hint button that costs a few points per letter it reveals.

Anagram Arena is a true anagram game, genuinely different from Word Scramble: instead of one fixed answer, every round's letters are a real anagram of two or more actual words (TRIANGLE, INTEGRAL, RELATING, and ALTERING all share the exact same eight letters), and you keep rearranging the same tiles to find every word hiding in them before the round clears. No hints on purpose, since figuring it out yourself is the whole point.

Spelling Bee is the classic honeycomb format: seven letters, one required center letter, and you spell as many real words of four or more letters as you can, reusing any letter as many times as a word needs. Longer words score more, a pangram that uses all seven letters earns a big bonus, and your rank climbs from Beginner up to Queen Bee as your score approaches that puzzle's maximum.

Word Connect gives you a small circle of letters and a real crossword-style board above it: tap letters to spell any word you can find, and every correct one fills into its spot on the board, sometimes revealing a letter that helps with a word crossing it. Unlike Anagram Arena, a word doesn't need to use every letter in the circle, just the ones it needs.

Letter Grid Blitz is this site's only word game with no fixed list of words to find: a randomized 4x4 letter grid and a 90-second timer, connect touching letters (including diagonally) in any direction to spell any real word from the game's list that happens to be hiding in that particular grid, the same way a real Boggle-style game works.

Word Connections is a pure grouping puzzle, no spelling involved at all: sixteen words, four secret categories of four, select a group and submit to test your guess. Categories run from an easy yellow group up to a tricky purple wordplay twist, with four mistakes allowed and a One Away hint when you're three-quarters right.

Hangman is the classic letter-by-letter guessing game, with a heart counter standing in for the traditional drawing so it stays friendly for younger players. Guess letters to fill in a hidden word from the same six categories as Word Scramble before your six hearts run out, and build a win streak across rounds.

Word Ladder is the classic word-chain puzzle: change exactly one letter at a time to turn a start word into an end word, with every step along the way a real word too. Each puzzle shows its par, the fewest steps it's possible to solve in, and a Hint fills in the next correct step if you get stuck.

Cryptogram hides a common saying behind a letter-substitution code: every letter is consistently swapped for a different one, and cracking one occurrence of a letter fills in every matching spot at once. Codeword applies that exact same idea, numbers standing in for letters, to a real interlocking crossword grid instead of one line of text, with a couple of numbers already filled in for free to give you somewhere to start. Neither game reveals correctness letter by letter as you type, so a Check button's aggregate wrong-count is the only feedback, keeping both a genuine puzzle instead of a guess-and-check exercise.

Word Riddles mixes two formats: classic text riddles that describe something in a tricky, indirect way, and picture riddles where two emoji combine into one compound word. Type your answer (spacing and punctuation don't matter) and use Hint if you're stuck, though each hint lowers that riddle's score a little.

Word of the Day is a vocabulary quiz rather than a spelling game: read today's word, pick which of four definitions is the real one, and see the actual definition and an example sentence right after either way, so every round teaches you something. Daily mode gives everyone the same word each day and keeps a streak, Practice mode is unlimited and random.

Party Word Guess is a pass-and-play party game for a group in the same room: one person describes a secret word out loud without saying it or the three taboo words listed under it, everyone else calls out guesses, and a 60-second timer keeps rounds moving before the device passes to the next describer.

Syllable Search is a syllacrostic: several clues share one pool of syllable blocks, and the whole puzzle only clears once every block has been used by exactly one answer. Click a clue to make it active, then click syllable blocks in order to spell its answer; get it wrong and the blocks just return to the pool with no penalty.

Word Finder closes out the collection as a tool rather than a game: a crossword-solver pattern search (type known letters and a question mark for unknowns, like C?T) and a Scrabble-style letters search (type the tiles you have, including blank tiles) over a shared word list, useful for this site's own puzzles or any other crossword or word game.

Every game here saves your streaks and personal bests locally in your own browser, with no account required, and works with a mouse, touchscreen, or keyboard. See the Parents & Safety page for the full privacy details, or browse the rest of the site's puzzle games.

Early reading games: phonics, rhymes, sight words, and context clues

Four games here are built for children who are just learning to read, and every one of them reads its words aloud. Phonics Pop asks kids to pop the letter bubble that finishes a picture word, from first sounds through blends, digraphs, and magic e. Rhyme Time Rescue builds a bridge one rhyme at a time to bring stranded animals home. Sight Word Swamp hops a frog across lily pads labeled with Dolch sight words, using look-alike words like was and saw as the tricky choices. For slightly older readers, Context Clues Climber teaches how to work out a new word from the sentence around it, highlighting the clue after every answer.
