Block games organized by mechanic, not just a pile of clones

Block Blast is the classic 10x10 grid block-fit puzzle: three pieces at a time, fill a full row or column to clear it, and chain back-to-back clears into a streak. Block Blast Master is a genuinely harder tier of the same game, no small pieces at all, every drop is a tromino or bigger. Block Crush plays the same rules on a bigger 12x12 board with more room to plan, while Block Drop tightens it down to a faster-filling 9x9 board. Block Puzzle Classic runs on the same engine but calmer, with no streak multiplier. Woodoku takes the same engine onto a 9x9 grid split into nine 3x3 boxes, a third way to clear space on top of rows and columns, and Wood Block Journey trims that down to a mellow 8x8 board with no boxes and no streak. Hex Block Puzzle moves the place-a-piece-clear-a-line idea onto a hexagon board with 3 line directions instead of a square grid's 2, and Hex Blocks is a smaller, harder version of that same board.

Brick Breaker is the classic paddle-and-ball formula, with tough 2-hit bricks and a widen-paddle power-up. Bricks n Balls is a different take on the same genre: no paddle at all, instead you aim a fixed cannon and fire your entire volley of balls at once, growing your ball count permanently by breaking power-up bricks as a descending grid closes in. Tower Stack is the one-button stacking genre: drop a sliding block onto your tower, any overhang trims off, and 5 perfect drops in a row widens the tower back out. Stacker Game is the same idea tuned faster, with a tighter perfect-landing window.

Unblock Me is a classic sliding-block logic puzzle where every piece is locked to one axis. Color Block Jam lets any block move in any of the 4 directions, but it only clears the board through its own matching-color gate. Hexa Sort is a different kind of sorting puzzle: merge matching colored stacks between neighboring hex slots until every slot fills up and clears. Screw Puzzle is about removal order, not placement: colored screws overlap on a shared board, and you can only unscrew one that isn't currently covered by another.

Frequently asked questions

How many block games are on this page?

17, covering 8 different mechanics: square grid block-fit puzzles at several board sizes (Block Blast, Block Blast Master, Block Crush, Block Drop, Block Puzzle Classic), 9x9 wood-box grid puzzles (Woodoku, Wood Block Journey), hexagon-grid block-fit puzzles (Hex Block Puzzle, Hex Blocks), two brick breakers (a paddle-based Brick Breaker and an aim-and-shoot Bricks n Balls), two one-button stackers (Tower Stack and the faster Stacker Game), two sliding-block logic puzzles (Unblock Me and Color Block Jam), a hex color-sorting puzzle (Hexa Sort), and a pin-pull puzzle (Screw Puzzle).

What's the difference between these block games?

Block Blast, Block Puzzle Classic, and Woodoku share a placement engine (fill a line to clear it), but Woodoku adds 3x3 box clears and Block Blast adds a combo streak. Block Blast Master is a harder Block Blast (no small pieces), Block Crush plays on a bigger 12x12 board, Block Drop on a tighter 9x9 board with no boxes, and Wood Block Journey is a calmer 8x8 board with no boxes and no streak. Hex Block Puzzle moves that idea onto a hexagon board, and Hex Blocks is a smaller, harder version of it. Brick Breaker (paddle) and Bricks n Balls (aim-and-shoot cannon) are both reflex arcade games with a different control scheme from each other. Tower Stack and Stacker Game are one-button stackers, with Stacker Game tuned faster and tighter. Unblock Me and Color Block Jam are sliding-block logic puzzles with different movement rules. Hexa Sort merges colored stacks on a hex board, and Screw Puzzle is about removal order, not placement.
