A number line game that makes jumps visible, not just answers
Number Line Ninja is a free addition and subtraction game built around a strategy many classrooms teach directly: using a number line to see the size of a jump instead of just memorizing a fact. Every problem shows a start point already marked on the line. To add, the ninja jumps forward; to subtract, it jumps backward. Click, tap, or drag the ninja anywhere on the line, or fine-tune the landing spot with the arrow keys, then lock in the jump to check it.
There is no penalty for missing. A wrong lock-in just asks the ninja to try again on the exact same problem, with no lost streak and no timer pressure, so kids can experiment with where the jump should land instead of racing a clock. Six tiers scale the number line itself: addition and subtraction within 10 for beginners, then within 20, then a mixed within-50 tier, and a championship tier mixing both operations within 100.
Every correct landing earns a scroll, and collecting enough scrolls unlocks a new dojo scene, from the starting Bamboo Grove through Mountain Peak, Storm Valley, Shadow Forest, and the Golden Temple. It's free, works with a mouse, touchscreen, or keyboard, needs no download or account, and saves your scrolls and best streaks locally in your own browser.
