A baseball math game with a real risk-and-reward decision, not just swings
Diamond Digits is a free baseball math game built on the same two-layer idea as its sister game, Hoops & Numbers: answer a math question correctly to even earn a swing, a wrong answer is a strikeout looking with no swing at all. Then time your hit on a precision meter, click or tap the bar (or use the -5/-1/+1/+5 buttons) to land inside the highlighted zone before clicking Swing, dead center for a home run, further out for a double or a single, and missing the zone entirely for a swing and a miss.
What makes Diamond Digits different is base running. Whenever there's a runner on second base and the bat connects for a single, the game hands you a genuine decision most simple sports-math games skip entirely: send the runner all the way home for a real chance at an extra run, but risk them getting thrown out for an out, or hold them safely at third with no risk at all. It's a real risk-and-reward read, not just another question to answer.
Five grade bands adapt both which operations appear and how big the numbers get, from addition and subtraction within 20 for Grade 2 up to every operation mixed with bigger numbers for Grade 6, the same bands used in Hoops & Numbers. Each turn at bat runs through 3 innings with 3 outs each, a full personal batting session rather than a single at-bat, and every run scored earns ballpark points toward unlocking a new stadium, from the starting Sandlot Field through Little League Park, City Field, Domed Stadium, and the Championship Stadium.
It's free, works with a mouse, touchscreen, or keyboard, needs no download or account, and saves your ballpark points and best run total locally in your own browser. See the Parents & Safety page for the full privacy details, or browse the rest of the Math Games hub.
Frequently asked questions
How do I play Diamond Digits?
Pick a ballpark and a grade band, then click Play Ball. Answer the math question to earn a swing. Click or tap the timing bar (or use the -5/-1/+1/+5 buttons) to time your hit inside the highlighted zone, then click Swing.
What is the send-or-hold decision?
When there's a runner on second base and you hit a single, you choose: send the runner all the way home for a chance at an extra run (but risk them being thrown out for an out), or hold them safely at third with no risk.
What happens if I answer wrong or miss the swing?
A wrong answer is a strikeout looking, no swing at all. A missed swing is a strikeout too. Either way it costs an out. Three outs ends the inning and your bases reset, but the game itself never ends in failure, you keep batting through all 3 innings.
How do I unlock new ballparks?
Every run you score earns ballpark points, which unlock a new stadium permanently once you cross each threshold, from the starting Sandlot Field up to the Championship Stadium.
