🌸 Mandala Maker

Click a petal, watch it mirror all the way around. Instant symmetric mandalas.

Symmetry built in, not something you have to get right

Mandala Maker takes the hardest part of drawing a mandala by hand, keeping everything perfectly symmetric, and does it automatically. The circle is divided into 5 rings and 16 petal-shaped wedges. Click any one petal and it colors both that petal and 7 others at matching rotational positions around the circle, an instant 8-fold symmetric pattern from a single click. Each ring actually holds two independent click-groups (alternating positions), so you can build genuinely varied, balanced patterns rather than just solid colored rings.

There's no target picture, no numbers to match, and no way to color it wrong, just pick a color and click until the design looks the way you like. It's one of the more open-ended, meditative games on the site, closer to a creative toy than a puzzle with an answer.

Once you're happy with your mandala, use the Print button to print it out on paper, or Save Image to download a PNG copy. Your design saves automatically to your own browser as you go. Browse more free-draw and pattern games on the Coloring Games hub, including the related Tie-Dye Studio, which uses mirror symmetry instead of rotation.

Frequently asked questions

How does the automatic symmetry work?

The circle is divided into 5 rings and 16 petal-shaped wedges. Clicking one petal colors it and 7 other petals at matching rotational positions around the circle at once, so a balanced 8-fold symmetric pattern builds up automatically.

Is there a right or wrong way to color a mandala?

No. There's no target picture and no way to get it wrong, just pick colors and click petals until the pattern looks the way you want.

Can I print or save my mandala?

Yes. Use the Print button to print your design, or the Save Image button to download a PNG copy to your device.

Does my mandala save if I close the page?

Yes. Your design is saved automatically to your own browser as you go, so it's still there if you come back later on the same device.
