Truck simulator games

A truck is a different machine from a car: it is long, heavy and slow to stop, and the trailer follows its own line round every corner. These truck driving games let you feel it. Truck Simulator USA 3D puts you in a long-nose American truck with a 48-foot trailer on the interstate: fill up with diesel, roll slowly over the weigh station, pull into a rest area before you get too tired and deliver the load on time. Euro Lorry Simulator 3D swaps it for a flat-fronted European lorry, border checks, toll gates and a UK mode where you drive on the left. Indian Truck Driver 3D takes a painted lorry with HORN OK PLEASE on the back over the mountain ghats, past chai stops and checkposts, honking the cows off the road. Big Rig Cargo is a shorter delivery game with a semi and trailer.

Truck parking games

Reversing an articulated truck is a puzzle: steer one way and the trailer swings the other. Truck Parking 3D starts gently with a box truck and builds up to a semi and trailer backed into loading docks, down a narrow alley you can barely see into, onto a weigh scale and into a row of crowded bays at night. Five cameras, including a top-down view, help you line it up.

Work trucks: garbage, fire, tow and mud

Some trucks have a job to do. Garbage Truck Driver 3D is a bin lorry game: drive the route, stop beside each wheelie bin, let the side arm grab it and empty it, then head back to the depot before the hopper is full. Fire Truck Rescue 3D is a fire engine game with the siren on through the traffic, a water cannon to aim at the flames and a ladder to raise to people waiting at the windows. Tow Truck Recovery 3D hooks up broken-down cars, crashes and illegally parked cars and tows them to the garage, the scrapyard or the impound lot. Monster truck games

Monster Truck Freestyle 3D is a stadium tour: race a rival round the track, spin donuts and hold wheelies in the skills event, then crush rows of cars, catch big air and backflip for the freestyle judges. Monster Truck Stunts 3D is a stunt course full of ramps and loops. For younger players, Monster Truck Crush is a side-view monster truck game for kids with giant wheels, car piles to squash flat and no way to fail.

Truck racing and stunt games

Truck Racing Championship 3D is real big-rig racing: six race trucks, all limited to 160 km/h, so every race is won in the braking zones, and hot brakes fade unless you spray water on them. Truck Hopper 3D is a truck jumping game: you run and leap from roof to roof across a speeding convoy while the trucks swerve, crash and race towards a cliff. Wobbly Jelly Truck is a soft-body physics game where the whole truck wobbles and squishes over hills and gaps. Drift to the Right is a one-button game: hold to drift right, let go to drift left and keep the truck and its trailer on a zigzag road in the sky. And Mad Truck Rampage is an endless drive through a desert full of cartoon zombies, where every run earns cash for a bigger engine, a plough and nitro.

Truck puzzle games

Truck Loader Puzzle turns loading a trailer into a packing puzzle: fit every crate into the trailer with no gaps, then check the balance meter, because a real load has to sit over the axles, not at one end. Sixty loads and a daily puzzle get bigger and fussier as you go.

Truck games for kids

Build a Truck is a truck building game for young children: choose a chassis, wheels, a cab and a body, from a dump truck to a fire engine, paint it, then take it on a test drive to do three real jobs. Ice Cream Truck lets kids drive down a sunny street, play the jingle, stop for the children who come running and build exactly the cone or cup they ask for. Vehicle Paint Shop is a colouring game full of trucks and cars, and Monster Truck Crush is great for little ones too.

Truck games or lorry games?

Both. Lorry is simply the British word for a truck, so every game on this page is a lorry game too. Euro Lorry Simulator 3D is the one to pick if you want to drive on the left in the UK, and the Indian lorry drives on the left as well, while the American trucks keep right.

Tips for truck games

Trucks are long, so swing out before a tight turn: the trailer cuts inside the corner and clips anything on the kerb. Brake early, because a loaded truck takes a long way to stop, and in the racing game the brakes get hot. When reversing a trailer, steer the opposite way to where you want the back of the trailer to go and use small movements; if it starts to jackknife, pull forward and try again. In the simulators, keep an eye on the fuel and the tiredness meter and plan your stops.
