đ Rescue Heli 3D
Hover, winch, and fly them home to the hospital roof.
How to play
- Pick a helicopter and a mission, then click Start Rotors.
- Hold R to climb off the helipad and F to come down. With hover assist on, the helicopter holds its height when you let go.
- â tilts forward to fly, â tilts back to slow down, â â turn, and Q / E sidestep.
- To rescue someone, hover right above them, 5 to 30 metres up, and hold steady. The winch lowers the rope and lifts them in by itself.
- Land gently on the hospital roof (the H) to finish a rescue. Too fast, too hard or tilted, and it's a crash.
- Space (or đ§) drops water from the fire bucket or releases a sling load. C switches camera: chase, cockpit, and the winch cam that looks straight down.
A rescue helicopter game you can fly in your browser
Rescue Heli 3D puts you at the controls of a rescue helicopter based on the roof of Skyhaven Hospital. There is nothing to download: the game loads in a browser tab, the rotors spin up, and you lift off over the Skyhaven Islands, the same 3D world as Sky Pilot 3D, with its beaches, harbour town, forests and snowy mountain. Somewhere out there, someone needs help, and the arrow on screen points the way.
Flying a helicopter is different from flying a plane. You can stop in mid-air and hover, fly sideways, and land almost anywhere flat. Tilt forward to speed up, tilt back to slow down, and use the climb and descend keys to change height. Hover assist holds your altitude when you let go, so younger pilots can concentrate on getting into position. Switch it off and you manage the power yourself, like a real collective lever.
Rescues, sling loads and firefighting
The heart of the game is the winch. Fly to the casualty, slow right down, and hover just above them. Hold steady and the winch lowers the rope, clips them on, and reels them into the cabin, but drift away or climb too high and the rope comes back up. In Beach Rescue a swimmer waves from the sea off the south beach. Mountain Rescue sends you high up the mountain to a climber stuck on a ledge, where every metre of height counts. In Boat Rescue three sailors are clinging to a sinking boat near the harbour, and you have to winch up all three before flying them to the hospital.
Supply Drop hangs a heavy crate below the helicopter on a long sling. The load swings like a pendulum, so every turn and stop has to be gentle, and you finish by lowering it softly onto the Fern Isle helipad. Forest Fire gives you a water bucket: fly out to sea, dip the bucket to fill it, then drop the water on three fires burning in the western forest before they spread. Free Flight lets you explore and land on all three helipads.
Real helicopter skills in a friendly package
Every mission teaches something real rescue pilots practise: a stable hover, a slow and careful approach, landing straight and level with no sideways drift, and flying smoothly with a load underneath. The winch camera looks straight down from the door, just like the view a real winch operator has, and the cockpit camera shows the islands from the pilot's seat. Missions are timed, and beating the par time earns three stars. Stars unlock new colours for the helicopter: Coastguard, Air Ambulance and Mountain Rescue.
Rescue Heli 3D is free, needs no account, and saves your stars and rescue count only in your own browser. It works with a keyboard or with the on-screen stick and climb slider on phones and tablets. See the Parents & Safety page for privacy details. For fixed-wing flying try Sky Pilot 3D or the landing challenges in Perfect Landing Pro, and browse the Flight Simulator Games hub for more.
Frequently asked questions
Is Rescue Heli 3D free?
Yes. It is a free helicopter game that runs in a web browser with no download, account, or plugin.
How do I rescue someone with the winch?
Fly to the person, slow down, and hover right above them between 5 and 30 metres up. Hold steady and the winch lowers the rope and lifts them in automatically. If you drift away, the rope goes back up.
How do I land the helicopter without crashing?
Stop all forward movement first, keep the helicopter level, hover over the H, and descend slowly with F. Landing too fast, too hard, tilted, or on a steep slope causes a crash.
How do I put out the forest fires?
Fly low over the sea until the bucket dips in and fills, then fly over a fire and press Space (or the đ§ button) to drop the water. Each fire needs one full bucket.
What does hover assist do?
It holds the helicopter's height when you let go of the climb and descend keys, and keeps it level. Turn it off to control the power yourself for a more realistic challenge.
Does it work on phones and Chromebooks?
Yes. It runs in any modern browser with 3D graphics (WebGL). Touchscreens get a stick to tilt and turn and a slider to climb and descend.
