๐ก Backyard Builders
Build a treehouse or fort a little at a time with your fresh daily supply of pieces.
How to play
- Tap a piece below (or press its number key) to pick it up, then tap an empty grid square to place it.
- Every piece has a daily limit. Tap a placed piece to select it, then remove it to get that piece back.
- Come back tomorrow (or any day) for a fresh top-up of pieces, so your build keeps growing over time.
- Your build saves automatically on this device, so nothing is ever lost between visits.
A building sandbox with no way to lose progress
Backyard Builders is a grid-based building sandbox: pick a piece (wall, floor, roof, window, door, ladder, flag, flower box, or lantern), tap an empty square, and place it. There's no rush and no fail state, and unlike a free-form sandbox with unlimited pieces, a small daily budget per piece type means there's always something worth doing on a return visit rather than a finished build sitting untouched.
The budget tops up over time and catches up if you've been away for a few days, capped so it never becomes an overwhelming pile all at once. What it never does is touch what you've already built: the structure persists indefinitely, so a treehouse or fort you've been growing for weeks stays exactly as you left it.
Free, no download, no account. See more open-ended games on the Sandbox Games page.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I place unlimited pieces?
Each piece type has a daily budget that refills over time (with catch-up if you've been away, capped at 14 days), so there's always a reason to come back rather than finishing everything in one sitting.
Can my build get wiped or reset?
No. The structure you build persists indefinitely; only the daily piece budget resets, never what you've already placed.
What pieces can I place?
Nine piece types: wall, floor, roof, window, door, ladder, flag, flower box, and lantern.
Can I remove a piece I placed?
Yes. Select a placed piece and remove it to get it back into your budget for that piece type.
