๐Ÿš— Contraption Chaos

Place parts to guide the cart to the goal, then test and iterate.

A build-and-test physics sandbox with real iteration

Contraption Chaos hands you a fixed course (a start point, a goal flag, and some walls you can't move) and a small toolbox of parts to solve it with. Ramp is a static angled platform for redirecting the cart's path. Spring gives it one strong push the instant it makes contact, in whatever direction you've rotated the spring. Booster applies a gentler, continuous push over a wider area, useful for lifting the cart over a longer stretch. Every part interacts with the cart through real Matter.js physics, so the same layout always plays out the same way, and a small change in placement can completely change the outcome.

Test Run never costs anything, so the whole game is built around iteration: place a part, run it, see what actually happens, and adjust. That's closer to how a real engineering toy works than a game with limited lives. Six courses escalate from a simple straight roll to routes that need climbing, clearing a gap, and combining more than one part to actually reach the flag.

Like every game on AnonArcade, it's free with no download and no account, and your fewest-tries best is tracked locally for each course. Browse more open-ended physics and building games on the Sandbox Games page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I play Contraption Chaos?

Pick a part (Ramp, Spring, or Booster) and tap the course to place it, then tap Test Run to send the cart rolling. Watch what happens, tweak your parts, and test again.

What do the different parts do?

Ramp is a static angled platform that redirects the cart. Spring gives it a strong one-time push the moment it touches, in whatever direction the spring is rotated. Booster is a gentle continuous push over a wider area.

How many tries do I get?

Unlimited. Test Run never costs anything, so you can rearrange your parts and try again as many times as you like. Your fewest-tries best is saved for each course.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Unlocked courses and your best attempt count for each one are saved locally in your browser, with no account needed.
