A digital coloring book built for real creativity
Paintbox Pals is a free online coloring game with 8 hand-drawn pictures: a fish, a car, a house, a flower, a butterfly, a rocket, a cat, and a dinosaur. Each picture isn't a single outline to fill once, it's built from many separate regions, from 9 up to 12 per picture and 79 in total, so a fish's fins, tail, gills, and eye can each be a different color, and a flower's six petals never have to match. That level of detail is what turns a simple "fill the shape" coloring page into something worth coming back to and trying again with a different palette.
The 20-color palette covers warm reds and oranges through cool blues and purples, plus black, white, gray, and gold for detail work. Every click fills the region you're pointing at instantly, no dragging or precision brushwork required, so it works just as well with a mouse, a trackpad, or a finger on a touchscreen. A finished region can always be re-colored, Undo steps back one fill at a time, and Clear Page wipes a picture back to blank if you want a completely fresh start.
Progress saves automatically and separately for each of the 8 pictures, so switching between them never loses any work, and coming back days later picks up exactly where you left off. Once a picture is fully colored, Download PNG exports it as a real image file to keep, print, or share. Free, no download, no account, and no timer counting down anywhere. Frequently asked questions
How do you color a picture in Paintbox Pals?
Pick a color from the palette below the canvas, then click any region of the picture to fill it with that color. Click a different region to keep going, or pick a new color anytime.
Is my coloring progress saved?
Yes. Every fill autosaves to your browser, per picture, so a picture you half-finish is exactly as you left it next time you open it, even after closing the tab.
Can I download my finished picture?
Yes, the Download PNG button saves the picture you're currently coloring as a real PNG image file you can keep or print.
How many pictures are there to color?
8 pictures (fish, car, house, flower, butterfly, rocket, cat, and dinosaur), each split into many separate regions so no two finished pictures look the same.
Is there a timer or a way to lose?
No. There's no timer, no fail state, and Undo and Clear Page let you fix any mistake instantly, so it stays completely low-pressure.
