How to play

  • Your runner auto-runs across each rooftop, no need to press anything to move forward.
  • When you see a pink pole above the gap ahead, hold Grapple (or Space/↑) to hook on and start swinging.
  • Let go at the right point in the swing to fly forward and land on the next roof.
  • Missed the landing? It costs one heart, not the run. You get 3 hearts before a run ends.
  • Gaps get a little wider the longer you last. Your best distance is saved on this device.

A one-button grappling-hook runner across the rooftops

Skyline Sprinter takes the classic endless-runner formula (your character auto-runs, you time your inputs) and swaps the usual jump button for a grappling hook. Every gap between rooftops has a pole waiting above it; hold the Grapple control to hook on and swing from it, then release to fly the rest of the way and land on the next roof. There's no combo of buttons to learn, just one hold-and-release motion, but the timing of that release is a genuine skill: let go too early and you undershoot into the gap, hang on too long and you can sail right past the roof you were aiming for.

It's forgiving by design, matching the rest of the site. Missing a landing doesn't end your run, it costs one of three hearts and drops you safely on the next available rooftop so you're straight back into the swing of things. The gaps between roofs widen gradually the longer a run lasts, so the real challenge is staying accurate as the margin for error shrinks, not memorizing a fixed layout, since every run generates a fresh sequence of rooftops.

Frequently asked questions

How do I play Skyline Sprinter?

Your runner auto-runs across each rooftop. When a pole appears over the gap ahead, hold the Grapple button (or Space/Up) to latch on and swing, then let go at the right moment to fly across and land on the next roof.

What happens if I let go too early or too late?

You might land short in the gap or overshoot past the roof. Either way it just costs one heart and you respawn safely on the next rooftop, no run-ending fall.

Do the rooftop gaps get harder?

Yes. Gaps widen gradually the longer your run goes, so later swings need better timing than the first few.

Is my best distance saved?

Yes, locally in your browser on this device, with no account needed.
