🐛 Worm Burrow

Steer your worm to eat orbs and grow. Avoid the wall, your tail, and rival worms.

A free worm-growth arcade game, no server or account needed

Worm Burrow is an original take on the grow-and-avoid arcade genre popularized by games like slither.io, reskinned as a little worm burrowing through a garden bed. Your worm moves forward continuously, so the only input is steering: hold Turn Left or Turn Right (mouse, touch, or the left/right arrow keys and A/D on a keyboard) to curve toward the glowing orbs scattered around the arena. Every orb eaten adds length to your worm and nudges your score up.

The danger comes from AI-controlled rival worms that wander the arena hunting the same orbs, with simple seek-and-wander steering that occasionally sends them cutting across your path rather than just chasing food in a straight line. More rivals join the arena as your worm grows, so a long run gets genuinely busier, not just longer. Touching the wall, your own tail, or any rival's body ends the run instantly, but nothing here is permanent: your best length is saved locally on this device, and Grow Again starts a brand new run in a couple taps.

Unlike the realtime multiplayer games this genre is best known for, Worm Burrow runs entirely in your browser with zero live server connection, so it's just as free and private as every other game on AnonArcade. For a same-device 2-player version built on the same engine, try Worm Slither. Browse more fast, reflex-driven games on the Arcade Games page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I play Worm Burrow?

Hold the Turn Left or Turn Right button (or the left/right arrow keys, or A/D) to steer your worm. It moves forward on its own. Eating a glowing orb makes it grow longer.

What ends a run?

Touching the arena wall, your own tail, or a rival worm's body ends the run. A fresh run is always one tap away with the Grow Again button.

Do the rival worms get harder to avoid?

Yes. More AI rivals join the arena as your worm grows, up to a cap, so later stretches of a run are busier than the start.

Is there any multiplayer in Worm Burrow?

No, Worm Burrow is single-player against AI. For a same-device 2-player version of this game, see Worm Slither.
