🔫 Snake Shooter

Classic snake with a shooting layer. Blast rocks before you crash into them.

Classic snake, plus a way to clear your own path

Snake Shooter keeps every rule of classic snake, eat to grow, avoid your own body, but scatters solid rocks across the board that end the run just as surely as a wall would if you run into one un-shot. The twist is you can clear them: fire an instant shot in the direction you're currently facing, and the first rock in its path is destroyed for bonus points, with a short cooldown so you can't just spam it constantly.

That turns route-planning into a real decision every few seconds, sometimes it's faster to shoot a rock out of your way, sometimes it's safer to just steer around it and save the shot for later. New rocks spawn in as old ones are destroyed, so the board stays populated for the whole run.

Works with keyboard (arrow keys or WASD to move, Space to shoot) or the on-screen D-pad and shoot button on touch devices, no download or account needed. For the traditional version without the shooting layer, try Classic Snake Arena, or browse the rest of the lineup on the Snake Games hub.

Frequently asked questions

How does shooting work in Snake Shooter?

Press Space, the on-screen shoot button, or tap it to fire an instant shot in the direction you're currently facing. It destroys the first rock in its path, with a short cooldown between shots.

What happens if I hit a rock I haven't shot?

Running into an un-shot rock ends the run, exactly like running into your own body.

Do I still grow by eating?

Yes. Apples still grow your snake and add to your score, on top of the points you earn for destroyed rocks.

Is Snake Shooter free with no account needed?

Yes. It's free with no download and no account, and your best score saves only in your own browser.
