Roll, hold, reroll, and fill all 13 scoring categories.

The classic 13-category dice game

Yatzy Dice plays the well-known 5-dice, 13-category scoring game exactly as generations have played it with real dice: 3 rolls per turn, hold whatever you want to keep between rolls, then lock your final roll into one of 13 open categories, from simple number totals up through Full House, both straights, and a full Yatzy for all 5 matching. Score 63 or more across the six number categories and you get a 35-point upper section bonus, the same threshold used in every standard scoring pad.

Play against the built-in AI at 3 difficulty levels, from a fairly loose Easy opponent up to a Hard opponent that weighs which categories are still open and rerolls toward whichever outcome is worth the most before committing, or switch to 2 Player mode and pass the device for local turns with a friend, both scorecards visible the whole time since nothing about this game is hidden.

Part of the Classic Board Games collection alongside Dominoes Duel and Mancala Stones, sharing the same difficulty system and sound design. Free, no download, no account, and your best score saves locally in your own browser.

Frequently asked questions

How does rerolling work?

Each turn you get 3 rolls total. After the first roll, click any dice you want to keep to hold them, then roll again, up to 2 rerolls. Whatever you have after your final roll (or whenever you stop early) is what you score.

What are the 13 scoring categories?

Ones through Sixes (sum of that number shown), Three of a Kind, Four of a Kind, Full House, Small Straight, Large Straight, Yatzy (all 5 matching), and Chance (sum of all 5 dice, always available). Score at least 63 across Ones through Sixes for a 35-point bonus.

Can I play against a friend?

Yes, switch Mode to 2 Player. Both scorecards are visible the whole time since nothing is hidden in this game, and you just take turns.

Is Yatzy Dice free with no account needed?

Yes. It's completely free with no download and no account, and your best score saves only in your own browser.
