Riddles for kids, with answers to choose from

Riddle Rush is a free riddle game that turns classic kids' riddles into a quick-thinking challenge. A riddle glows on the card, like What has hands but can't clap?, and four possible answers sit underneath. Pick the one that solves it and the card lights up. Pick the wrong one and it's crossed out, so you can read the riddle again and try another. There are no penalties beyond a lost streak, which makes it easy for kids to keep thinking instead of giving up.

Every riddle was checked so that none of the wrong answers also works as an answer, which matters with riddles, since many have more than one solution. For trick questions and brain teasers, a short explanation appears after each answer, like why a rooster's egg doesn't roll anywhere or why taking the S off seven leaves even. Those explanations are where the real learning happens: reading carefully, noticing double meanings, and thinking about how words work.

Six tiers, from easy riddles to a Rush Round

Tier 1 has classic easy riddles to warm up. Tier 2 is all animal riddles, where the clues describe a creature. Tier 3 is What am I?, with everyday objects in disguise. Tier 4 is trick questions that reward careful reading, and Tier 5 is brain teasers with a little logic and number sense. The Rush Round mixes everything together with a 60-second clock: solve as many as you can, and your best rush score is saved. In the untimed tiers, the Hint button removes one wrong answer.

Solved riddles earn keys, and keys unlock new riddle rooms: Magic Lamp, Detective Desk, Sphinx Temple, Wizard Tower, and Candy Castle. The Read button reads each riddle aloud. Riddle Rush is free, runs in the browser on computers, tablets, and phones with touch, mouse, or keyboard, needs no download or account, and keeps progress only in your own browser. See the Parents & Safety page for privacy details, or find more in the Brain & Trivia Games hub.
