🏹 Archery Isles

Aim, time your shot, and account for the wind. Short, relaxed rounds, no fail state.

Target practice with genuinely no way to lose

Archery Isles combines two separate aim controls: a horizontal reticle you move with the mouse or arrow keys, and a power meter you time with a tap, similar in feel to a penalty-kick meter but used for distance instead of a pass/fail outcome. A fresh wind value rolls before every single arrow and pushes the shot sideways by exactly that amount, so reading and compensating for it is a real part of lining up a good shot, not just a visual flourish.

Scoring is a straightforward geometry calculation the moment a shot lands, distance from the bullseye against the target's ring radii, rather than anything that can go wrong mid-flight. Five islands with progressively wider wind ranges each track their own separate best score, and five arrows per round keeps every session short. There's genuinely no fail state anywhere in the game, matching the "short, low-pressure rounds" goal directly.

Frequently asked questions

Can I lose in Archery Isles?

No, there's no fail state. Every round is five relaxed shots where you're only trying to beat your own best score, with no way to actually lose.

How does aiming work?

Move your mouse or use the Left/Right arrow keys to aim horizontally, then use the power meter (tap, click, or press Space to lock it in) for how far the arrow flies.

How does the wind affect my shot?

A fresh wind value is rolled before every arrow and pushes your shot sideways by that amount, so accounting for it before you shoot is part of the aim.

Do the islands differ?

Yes, each of the five islands has a wider wind range than the last, and each tracks its own separate best score.
