A daily Wordle-like game with a map to fill in
WordQuest Isles is one of this site's Wordle-like games: guess the word in 6 tries, with green, yellow, and gray feedback after each guess telling you how close you are. The word is picked deterministically from the day of the year, so everyone playing on a given day is solving the exact same puzzle, not a randomized one.
What WordQuest Isles adds on top is a sense of ongoing progress: solving today's word unlocks a new island on your map and extends your daily streak, saved locally in your browser. Missing a day resets the streak but not your islands, so there's no way to lose progress you've already earned, only a reason to come back and keep the streak going.

Frequently asked questions
Is WordQuest Isles the same word for everyone?
Yes. The word is chosen deterministically from the current day of the year, so everyone playing on the same day is solving the same word, the same way Wordle works.
What do the colors mean?
Green means the letter is correct and in the right spot. Yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong spot. Gray means the letter isn't in the word at all.
What happens if I miss a day?
Your streak resets, but your unlocked islands stay unlocked. A new word is available every day to start a fresh streak.
How many guesses do I get?
6 tries per day, same as classic Wordle.
Are there other Wordle-like games on this site?
Yes. Quad Word Guess uses the same green/yellow/gray guessing rules but with four hidden words at once, sharing one pool of guesses across all four boards.
