How to play
- Choose a mine cart, then press Ride!
- Press ← or → (A or D) to switch between the three tracks. Rocks block a whole track, so switch away from them.
- Press ↑, W or Space to jump over barriers and gaps in the track.
- Press ↓ or S to duck under low wooden beams.
- Collect 💎 gems for bonus points and grab a green 🛡️ shield to survive one crash.
- On phones and tablets, swipe left, right, up or down. Tap to jump.
A mine cart runner in 3D
Rail Rush is a fast, colourful endless runner in which you ride a mine cart. There is nothing to download: the game loads in a browser tab and drops you into a little wooden cart, with a miner in a yellow helmet riding inside, at the start of three parallel tracks through a red desert canyon. The cart starts rolling straight away, and it only gets faster from there.
Your job is to stay on the rails. Wooden barriers striped yellow and black stand across the tracks: jump them. Low beams hang over the rails: duck under them. Parts of the track are broken, leaving a black hole to leap across. And sometimes a big rock sits right in the middle of a track, so the only way past is to switch to the next one. Rows of obstacles come one after another, but there is always a way through.
Canyons and caves
Every so often the track plunges into a mine tunnel. The sunny canyon gives way to a dark cave with wooden support beams, flickering torches on the walls and the lamp on your helmet lighting the rails ahead. Then you burst back out into the sunshine. The changes keep every run feeling fresh, and the caves are the best place to test your reactions.
Gems, shields and goals
Bright blue gems line the free tracks, and each one adds 25 points to your score. Some float high above the obstacles, so you'll have to jump for them. Now and then a green shield appears: grab it and a glowing bubble surrounds your cart, so the next crash just bursts the bubble instead of ending your run. Your score is the distance you travel plus your gems, and your best score is saved.
Six score goals, from 1,000 up to 12,000 points, each give a star. Collect stars to unlock new carts: a red racer with gold trim, and a gleaming golden cart for the real rail legends.

They build fast reactions, hand-eye coordination and focus, as players read the rows of obstacles ahead and choose a lane, a jump or a duck in a split second.
