⚾ Home Run Derby
10 outs, one goal: hit as many home runs as you can with perfectly-timed swings.
How to play
- Watch the pitch and swing right as it reaches the plate.
- A perfectly-timed swing is a home run. Anything else, early, late, a weaker hit, or no swing at all, is an out.
- You get 10 outs per round. The derby ends once they're used up.
- Your score is total home runs. Pitch speed stays fair and consistent the whole round, this is about precision under a hard limit.
Real derby rules: home run or out, nothing in between
Home Run Derby runs on the same swing-timing engine as Fruit Baseball, but with a genuinely different scoring rule instead of just a new coat of paint. A real home run derby doesn't reward a decent, not-quite-perfect hit, it's a home run or it's an out, full stop. This game plays it exactly that way: nail the timing window and it's a home run, miss it by any margin (early, late, or not swinging at all) and it's an out.
You get 10 outs per round, the same hard limit a real derby uses, and pitch speed stays fixed and fair throughout since this is a test of consistency under pressure, not an escalating survival challenge. Your score is simply your home run total for the round, saved as your best across sessions.

Frequently asked questions
How is Home Run Derby different from Fruit Baseball?
It's the same swing-timing engine but real derby scoring: there's no partial credit for a decent-but-not-perfect swing. Every swing is either a home run or an out, exactly like a real home run derby, whereas Fruit Baseball scores singles and extra bases too.
How do I swing?
Click or tap the Swing button (or the field itself), or press Space or Enter on a keyboard, right as the pitch reaches the plate.
How many outs do I get?
10. The round ends once you've used all 10, and your home run total for that round is your score.
Is Home Run Derby free with no account needed?
Yes. It's free with no download and no account, and your best score saves only in your own browser.
