Your own snowboard park
Snowboard Freestyle Park 3D is a free snowboard game set where freestyle riders spend their days: the terrain park. Lines of kickers in green, blue, black and extra-large sizes, metal rails, wide boxes and a chairlift that brings you back to the top for another lap. You drop in, pick a line, and string together spins, flips, grabs and grinds, all in full 3D with a camera that follows every rotation.
Unlike endless runner snowboard games, this one is about choosing your features and stomping clean tricks, the way a real park session works.
Kickers and tricks
Each kicker throws you into the air for a different amount of time: a green kicker gives a short hop, an XL kicker sends you flying. In the air, A and D spin you, W and S flip you forwards and backwards, and Shift grabs the board. A small kicker has room for a 360 with a grab; a big one lets you combine a flip with a 720 spin. The higher you go, the more you can do, and the more points you can win.
Landing is the important part. On a snowboard you can land forwards or switch, so finish your spin on a 180, 360, 540 or 720. If you stop pressing, the game gently helps you settle into the nearest clean landing, so newer riders can concentrate on the fun part. Land sideways, upside down or with the board across the slope, and you wipe out and lose the trick.
Rails and boxes
Rails and boxes are the other half of a park. Line up, press Space to ollie, and land on the feature to slide along it. Boxes are wide and friendly; rails are thin and tricky. Grinding the whole length earns more, and a grind between two jumps keeps your trick chain going.
Park Jam
Park Jam sessions last 90 seconds on four different parks, each with its own mix of kickers and rails. Ride down, take the lift back up, and go again until the clock runs out. Every park has three point goals, worth one star each, and your best session score is saved.
Big Air
Big Air is a contest on one giant kicker against nine other riders. You get three jumps, and your two best scores count, but they must be different tricks, just like the real Big Air rules. Plan a safe first jump, then go big on the next two. Finish on top of the leaderboard to win.
Outfits
Stars unlock new looks for your rider: Bubblegum to start, then Neon, Aurora and the shiny Gold Rush outfit.
Tips
Use the small kickers to learn the timing of your spins. Start rotating as soon as you leave the lip; stop a little before you land. Grabs add points with almost no risk. On rails, come in straight and ollie a little early. In Big Air, land a solid trick first, then take risks.
About freestyle snowboarding
Slopestyle and Big Air are Olympic snowboard events. Riders are judged on the difficulty of their tricks, how high and how long they fly, the variety of their tricks and how cleanly they land. The words you see in this game, like switch, 540, grab and box, are the same ones real park riders use.
