Answer the call
Fire Truck Rescue 3D puts you in charge of a real-looking fire engine in a busy city. A call comes in: a building is on fire and there may be people inside. You drive the engine there yourself, with the siren wailing and the red and blue lights flashing, and when you arrive you work the turret, the ladder and the hose to put the fire out and bring everyone down safely.
It is two games in one. First comes the emergency drive through the city streets, then the firefighting itself. Both are in full 3D in your web browser, and both matter: the fire keeps growing and spreading while you are on the way, so a quick, careful drive makes the job at the scene much easier.
The emergency drive
Follow the blue arrows painted on the road and the turn instructions at the top of the screen. With the siren on, cars in front of you in your lane move over to let you pass. You are allowed to go through red lights on an emergency call, but only slowly: fire engines are big and heavy, and crossing a red light at more than about 15 mph costs points. Bumping into cars or buildings costs points too. When you get close, a yellow box appears on the road beside the burning building. Park in it, stop, and press F to set up.
Working the turret
Setting up folds out the outriggers that keep the truck steady, and the camera moves behind the turret looking at the building. Now the controls change. A and D (or left and right) swing the turret round. W and S (or up and down) raise and lower the ladder. Q and E slide the ladder in and out. Hold Space or the blue 💧 button to spray.
The water comes out of the nozzle in the basket at the tip of the ladder and flies in a realistic arc, dropping a little as it goes. A blue ring on the wall shows exactly where it will land. Put the ring on a flame and hold the spray until the flame dies down into a puff of steam. Each flame has to be knocked down completely, and strong flames take longer.
Rescuing people
On the bigger calls, people are trapped on the upper floors, waving from the windows. To rescue them, raise and extend the ladder until the yellow basket at its tip is right in front of their window, and hold it there for a moment while they climb in. A message tells you when you are close enough. Every person rescued counts, and a call isn't finished until everyone is safe and every flame is out.
Fire behaviour
The flames in each window grow stronger over time, and a strong flame can spread to the window next to it or above it. A call that starts with three flames can easily end up with five if you are slow. That is why the drive matters, and why it is often smart to knock down the biggest flames first, especially the ones next to windows where people are waiting.
Five calls
Kitchen Fire is a small house with three flames and nobody inside: the perfect first call to learn the turret. Shop Blaze is a two-floor corner shop with five flames and one person upstairs. Apartment Rescue has four floors, six flames and three people to save. The Night Call is a three-floor building after dark, lit only by the flames, your headlights and the streetlamps. And the Office Tower is six floors high with eight flames and four people, and needs a truck with a long ladder. Free Drive lets you drive the fire engine anywhere in the city.
Three fire trucks
You start with the red Pumper Engine, which has a powerful hose and a 14-metre ladder. Five stars unlock the Aerial Ladder, which reaches 22 metres and is needed for the Office Tower. Eleven stars unlock the yellow Tower Platform, with a 28-metre reach and the strongest hose of all, which knocks flames down fastest. Every call is scored out of 100: finish within the par time without penalties for three stars.
Tips for firefighters
Drive fast on the open roads but slow right down at junctions. Park neatly in the yellow box: being square to the building makes the turret easier to use. At the scene, rescue people first, because a flame next to their window might spread. When spraying, start with the ring a little above the flame and let the arc bring it down. Higher windows need the ladder raised and extended, so keep an eye on the ladder length shown at the bottom left.
Controls
Driving: W or the up arrow accelerates, S or the down arrow brakes (hold it when stopped to reverse), A and D steer, F sets up at the fire, H sounds the horn, L switches the lights, C changes the camera, R puts you back on the road and P pauses. At the fire: A and D swing the turret, W and S raise and lower, Q and E move the ladder in and out, and Space sprays. On touch screens, the pedals and steering buttons control the turret at the scene, with extra ➖, ➕ and 💧 buttons.

Frequently asked questions
How do I put out the fire?
Park in the yellow box, press F to set up, then aim the turret so the blue ring is on a flame and hold Space (or 💧) until the flame goes out.
How do I rescue the people at the windows?
Raise and extend the ladder (W and E) until the yellow basket is right in front of their window, then hold it there for a moment.
Can I drive through red lights?
Yes, with the siren on, but slowly. Crossing a red light at more than about 15 mph costs points.
Why can't I reach the top floors?
The Pumper Engine's ladder is short. Unlock the Aerial Ladder (5 stars) or the Tower Platform (11 stars) for the tall buildings.
How do I get 3 stars?
Finish the call within the par time with no bumps and no fast red lights.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Touch buttons drive the truck and, at the fire, control the turret, ladder and hose.
Is Fire Truck Rescue 3D free?
Yes. It is free to play in the browser with no download, no account and nothing to buy.
