ð Bus Traffic Racer 3D
Weave a bus through highway traffic, grab near-miss tips and pick up passengers on the way!
How to play
- Choose a bus and a road, then press Hit the Road.
- Hold W or â to speed up and steer with A/D or the arrow keys. Brake with S or â.
- Pass cars very closely at speed for near-miss points, a tip and turbo. Chain them for a combo.
- Watch for the green EXPRESS STOP panel: move into the right lane and roll through the yellow box under 25 mph to pick up passengers.
- Every passenger aboard raises your score multiplier. A crash costs a heart and three passengers.
- Hold Shift or Space (or ðĨ) for turbo. Three crashes and the run is over.
A highway racer where you drive the bus
Bus Traffic Racer 3D takes the classic endless traffic racer and hands you the biggest vehicle on the road. You are at the wheel of a bus, ten metres long and two and a half wide, and the highway ahead is packed with cars, vans, pickups and lorries. Every gap is a squeeze, every near miss is a thrill, and a good run feels like threading a needle at sixty miles an hour.
A bus is not a sports car. It is slower to change lanes, it needs more room to pass, and a car that suddenly changes lanes in front of you can end a run. That is what makes it so satisfying when you weave through a wall of traffic without touching anything.
Near misses, tips and turbo
Pass a vehicle within a metre at speed and you score a near miss: bonus points, a cash tip from your delighted (or terrified) passengers and a top-up of turbo. Keep the near misses coming within a few seconds of each other and the combo counter climbs, multiplying the points. On Two-Way Trouble, slipping past an oncoming car on the left side of the road is worth double.
Hold Shift or Space, or the ðĨ button on a phone, to fire the turbo. Flames shoot from the exhaust and the bus surges ahead, but steering at turbo speed through heavy traffic takes nerve.
Express stops and passengers
This is a bus, so it carries people. Every 1.4 kilometres a green panel warns you that an Express Stop is coming up: a yellow box painted in the right-hand lane next to a bus shelter full of waiting passengers. Move into the right lane and roll through the box under 25 mph and they all hop aboard. Each passenger adds 0.1 to your score multiplier, so a bus with twenty people on board scores three times as fast as an empty one.
But slowing down costs time and a crash costs passengers: three of them get off in a huff every time you hit something. The best runs balance speed and stops, building a full bus and then protecting it.
Four roads and four buses
Rush Hour is a sunny four-lane highway with all the traffic going your way. Two-Way Trouble runs through the desert at sunset with oncoming traffic on the left. Express Route adds a clock: reach the checkpoints every 1.2 kilometres to add time. Night Bus is a dark highway lit by street lamps and your headlights.
Each road has three score goals. Reach them for stars, and the stars unlock faster buses: the red Double-Decker, the long Express Coach and the black-and-orange Rocket Express, the fastest bus in the game.
Tips for a big score
Pick up passengers early, because the multiplier applies to everything that follows, including near misses. Use the chase camera to see the traffic far ahead, and the high camera if you like to see all four lanes at once. Watch the indicators of the cars ahead: a blinking car is about to change lanes. Save your turbo for empty stretches, and never turbo into a gap that is only just wide enough. If a lorry is blocking two lanes of traffic behind it, wait for the gap to open rather than forcing it.
Which road should you start on?
Rush Hour is the best place to learn, because every vehicle is going the same way as you and the only danger is a car changing lanes. Once you can reach its first goal, try Express Route: the checkpoint clock teaches you to keep your speed up and to plan your express stops, since every stop costs a few seconds. Two-Way Trouble is the high-scoring road for confident drivers, as oncoming near misses count double but an oncoming crash comes up very fast. Save Night Bus for when you know the traffic well, because the cars ahead are only lit by your headlights and the street lamps.
Why a bus makes racing different
In most traffic racers the fastest line is always the right one. In Bus Traffic Racer 3D every run asks a question: is it worth slowing down for the next stop? A bus full of passengers scores faster, but it also has more to lose, because every crash empties three seats. That simple trade-off turns an endless racer into a game of risk and reward, where the best players drive carefully when the bus is full and take their chances when it is empty. Runs last a few minutes at most, so there is always time for one more go at beating your best score.
Controls
On a computer: W or the up arrow to accelerate, S or the down arrow to brake, A and D or the left and right arrows to steer, Shift or Space for turbo, C to change the camera and P to pause. On phones and tablets the steering arrows are on the left and the brake, gas and ðĨ turbo buttons are on the right.
Free, safe and made for every device
Bus Traffic Racer 3D is cartoon racing: crashes are just bumps and spins, and passengers simply hop off. There are no adverts inside the game, no accounts, no chat and nothing to buy, and your scores and stars are saved only on your device. See the Parents & Safety page for more.

When the green Express Stop panel appears, move into the right-hand lane and drive through the yellow box under 25 mph. The passengers at the shelter hop aboard.
What does the multiplier do?
Every passenger on board adds 0.1 to the multiplier, which boosts all your points. A crash costs three passengers.
How do I unlock new buses?
Reach the score goals on each road for stars. The Double-Decker unlocks at 3 stars, the Express Coach at 6 and the Rocket Express at 10.
