Big wheels, big jumps

Monster Truck Stunts 3D is a free monster truck game that you play in your browser. Your truck has wheels taller than a person, a body that bounces on huge springs and an engine that roars. Drive it off ramps, fly over canyon gaps, flatten rows of old cars and backflip through the air. There are ten stunt courses to race against the clock, and a Crush Arena where you score as many points as you can in 90 seconds.

Everything is built in real 3D. The stunt courses run along the tops of red rock mesas high above a dusty canyon floor, with more mesas standing all around. The arena is a stadium with a dirt floor, grandstands full of fans, big launch ramps and piles of old cars waiting to be crushed.

Crushing cars

Drive over an old car with any of your giant wheels and it crunches flat, with a cloud of dust and a little bounce for your truck. On the stunt courses, rows of cars are parked along the track: crush them all for the satisfying crunch. In the Crush Arena, every car you crush is worth 100 points, and there is a long row of them right between the two big ramps, so you can fly off one ramp and land right on top of them.

Jumps and backflips

Orange ramps launch your truck over gaps in the course, and long landing ramps catch you on the other side. In the air, press the space bar or the FLIP button and your truck does a full backflip. Press it again during the flip for a double. A clean flip takes one second off your course time, or scores 800 points in the arena. But you must land on all four wheels; land upside down or on your nose and you crash.

Ten stunt courses

The courses start easy with Mud Run, a few cars and two small jumps. Car Crusher has long rows of cars to flatten. Canyon Hop has jump after jump across the gaps. Big Drop sends you down a huge step and over a giant gap. Mesa Turns winds round sharp corners on the cliff tops. Ramp Rodeo is a line of ramps, each bigger than the last. Junkyard is packed with cars and has a barrier arm to time. Sky Mesa has the biggest jump of all. Barrier Run has striped arms that lift and drop across the road, and the Monster Finale has a bit of everything. Each course unlocks when you finish the one before.

Checkpoints and the canyon

Green checkpoint arches are spread along the courses. If you drive off the edge, you fall into the canyon and are put back at the last checkpoint, and the clock keeps running. If you hit the barrier arm, crash a landing or get stuck, you also go back. Press R at any time to jump back to the checkpoint.

The Crush Arena

The Crush Arena is pure fun: 90 seconds to score as many points as you can. Crush cars for 100 points each, catch big air for bonus points and backflip for 800. Two big launch ramps face each other across the middle, there are mounds and kickers round the sides, and piles of cars are waiting in every corner. If you crash, your truck flips back onto its wheels and you keep going. There are three score goals for your stars.

Four trucks

Big Boots is the blue starter truck. Dino Crusher unlocks at 8 stars, Flame Thrower at 16 and Titan Gold at 26. Each truck is faster than the last and flips quicker in the air. On every course, a clean run beats the clock, but flips are how you get the very best times.

Tips

Line the truck up straight before every ramp. Start your flip as soon as you leave the ramp, so it finishes before you land. On the turns, ease off the gas a little so you don't slide wide. In the arena, use the big ramps to land on the row of cars, then turn round and do it again from the other side.

Monster Truck Stunts 3D runs in any modern browser on computers, Chromebooks, tablets and phones, with no download and no account. Use the keyboard, or the GAS, BRAKE, steering and FLIP buttons on a touchscreen. Your stars and crushed cars are saved only in your own browser.
