How to play

  • Your explorer runs on their own, so you just choose the right move at the right time.
  • A small rock or gap ahead? Tap Jump (or press Space/↑) to leap over it.
  • A big cracked boulder ahead? Tap Dig (or press ↓) to smash straight through it.
  • Picking the wrong move costs a heart, not the whole run. You get 3 hearts before a run ends.
  • The cave gets faster the longer you last. Your best distance is saved on this device.

A two-button endless runner built on quick judgment calls

Cave Dash is a Chrome-Dino-style endless runner reskinned as a cave explorer: your character auto-runs forward and every obstacle only needs one of two responses. A rock or gap means Jump; a cracked boulder means Dig. There's no third option and no combo moves to learn, so the whole game is about reading what's coming and reacting in time, not memorizing a control scheme.

It's forgiving by design. A wrong call costs one of three hearts rather than ending the run outright, so an early mistake doesn't erase a good run. The pace does ramp up the longer you survive, so the real skill ceiling is staying accurate as the reaction window shrinks. Your best distance is tracked locally so you always have a number to beat.

Frequently asked questions

How do I play Cave Dash?

Your explorer runs automatically. Tap Jump (or press Space/Up) to leap over a rock or gap, and tap Dig (or press Down) to smash through a cracked boulder. Judging which move a given obstacle needs is the whole game.

What happens if I pick the wrong move?

It costs one heart, not the run. You get 3 hearts total before a run ends, so a single mistake never ends things instantly.

Does Cave Dash get harder as you go?

Yes. The cave speeds up the longer you survive, so later obstacles arrive faster and give less time to react.

Is my best distance saved?

Yes, locally in your browser on this device, with no account needed.
