A same-device 2-player game, no account or second device needed
Column Clash is an original take on the classic drop-and-connect column game: two players share one screen and take turns dropping a piece into one of 7 columns. Each piece falls to the lowest open spot in that column, and the first player to line up 4 of their own piece in a row, a column, or a diagonal wins the round. It's pure pass-and-play, no login, no second device, and no internet multiplayer server required, which fills a real gap on AnonArcade: this is the site's first local 2-player game since its original realtime-multiplayer games were retired.
The rules are simple enough to explain in one sentence, but the strategy runs deep: every drop changes which columns are safe to play next, and a good player is often thinking two or three moves ahead about what their opponent could connect. A running score tracks wins for both players (and draws) across as many rounds as you want to play in a sitting.
Like every game on AnonArcade, it's free with no download and no account, and works with a keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen so two kids can play comfortably side by side. Browse more logic and strategy games on the Puzzle Games page.
Frequently asked questions
How do I play Column Clash?
Two players share one device. Take turns tapping a column's arrow to drop your piece in, an octopus for player 1 and a crab for player 2. Whoever connects 4 of their own piece in a row, column, or diagonal first wins the round.
Do I need two devices or an account to play with a friend?
No. It's pass-and-play on one screen, no login, no second device, no internet multiplayer required.
What happens if the board fills up with no winner?
It's a draw. Tap New Round to reset the board and play again; the running score keeps track of wins for both players across rounds.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. Use the left and right arrow keys to pick a column and Space or Enter to drop, or press number keys 1-7 to drop directly into that column.
