Dragon Hatchery starts with a single egg: tap it a few times to crack it open and meet your dragon. From there, Feed and Play work like a classic virtual pet, hunger and happiness bars that drift down slowly over real elapsed time between visits, not just while the page is open, so a quick check-in once a day is all it takes to keep your dragon comfortable.
What makes this different from a typical virtual pet is growth: every successful Feed or Play also earns a small amount of permanent growth that never goes back down, even if hunger or happiness dip. Cross a growth threshold and your dragon evolves, from a small Hatchling, to a Young Dragon, to a fully mythic Elder Dragon, each stage with its own look. Reaching Elder Dragon doesn't end anything either, you can keep feeding and playing indefinitely.
Nothing in this game can die, run away, or get permanently lost. A dragon at 0 hunger just needs feeding, not punishment. A daily streak tracks consecutive check-ins. Yes, slowly, based on real time passed since your last visit, not a timer that only runs while the tab is open. Check in whenever you like, your dragon will be waiting.
