A city on two wheels
Moto City Simulator 3D is a free motorbike game set in a 3D city. Harbor City has houses with gardens, tall office blocks, parks with trees, four-lane roads, pedestrian crossings and traffic lights at the busy junctions. Cars, vans and taxis drive round the streets, stop at red lights and wait for each other at the corners. You can ride anywhere, take on delivery jobs, race through checkpoints or show off with wheelies.
Your bike leans into every turn, the rider tucks down when you go fast, and the engine note rises and falls through the gears. At night the windows light up, street lamps glow and your headlight shines on the road ahead.
Five ways to ride
Free Ride has no clock: just explore the city, and press N to switch between day and night. Pizza Delivery gives you five hungry customers around town, from the Fire Station to Mr. Lee's House. Checkpoint Rush is a race through ten gates at junctions across the city, and traffic lights don't count, so you can go flat out. The Wheelie Challenge gives you 90 seconds to score as many points as you can on the back wheel. Night Delivery is pizza delivery after dark, with a different set of customers.
The GPS
In the delivery and checkpoint modes, a GPS shows you the way. Blue chevrons are painted along the road, a panel at the top tells you when to turn left or right and how far it is, and a minimap in the corner shows the route ahead. If you take a wrong turn, the GPS works out a new route. When you get close, stop inside the glowing circle and hold still for a moment to hand over the pizza.
Riding safely
Harbor City has rules. If you ride through a red light, it is counted. If you bump into a car or a wall, that is counted too, and a hard crash means you fall off the bike and get put back on the road. In the delivery modes, beat the par time with no red lights and no more than two bumps for three stars. Checkpoint Rush only needs you to beat par, so it is all about speed.
Wheelies
Hold the space bar (or 🛞) above walking speed and the rider pulls the front wheel up. The bike wobbles as it balances, and steering is slower on one wheel. Bump into anything while you are on the back wheel and you fall off. In the Wheelie Challenge, a balance meter shows the angle of your wheelie. Keep the needle in the green zone and your points double. Points come from your speed, so the faster you ride on one wheel, the more you score. Hold a wheelie for a long time for a bonus.
Four bikes
The City Scooter is small and nippy, perfect for learning the streets. The Street 300 unlocks at 3 stars and is a proper sports bike. The Cruiser 900 unlocks at 7 stars: it is heavy, comfortable and strong. The Super Sport 1000 unlocks at 12 stars and is the fastest bike in town. Each one sounds different and has its own rider.
Cameras and controls
Press C or the camera button to switch between the chase camera, a far camera that shows more of the street, and a helmet camera from the rider's seat. Press L for your lights, H for the horn and R to put the bike back on the nearest road. On a phone or tablet, there are buttons for gas, brake, steering and the wheelie.
Tips
Slow down before you reach the stop circle so you can stop inside it. At a junction, check the traffic light colour before you get there. Ride in the right-hand lane like the traffic does, and give buses and vans plenty of room. In Checkpoint Rush, look at the minimap to see which way the next gate is before you reach each junction.
