❄️ Moto Xtreme Winter

Snow, slippery ice and falling icicles: 20 frozen stunt courses.

⭐ Stars: 0 / 60 🏁 Levels: 0 / 20 🔄 Flips: 0

How to play

  • Pick a level. Level 1 is open straight away and every finished level opens the next one.
  • Hold the up arrow or W (or the green ▶ button on a touchscreen) to ride, and the down arrow or S to brake.
  • Lean back and forward with the left and right arrows, or A and D. In the air, leaning spins the bike.
  • Blue ice is slippery. Ease off the gas on ice so the back wheel can grip, especially before a jump.
  • Icicles drop when you ride under them, so keep your speed up and don't stop beneath them.
  • Land on your wheels. If your helmet hits the snow or a hazard, you restart from the last flag.
  • Each backflip or frontflip takes 1 second off your time. Fast runs earn three stars and unlock new bikes.

A snowy stunt bike adventure

Moto Xtreme Winter is a free winter motorcycle stunt game that you play in your browser. Wrap up warm, jump on your dirt bike and ride through twenty frozen obstacle courses. There are snowy hills to climb, frozen lakes to leap over, wooden bridges that crack and collapse, and long glittering slopes of ice where your back wheel spins and slides. Snow falls the whole time, snowmen and pine trees watch from the side of the track, and in the second half of the game you ride at night under the shimmering green and purple northern lights.

It is part of the Moto Xtreme series of stunt bike games, so the controls are the classic ones: gas, brake and lean. The difference is the weather. Snow and ice change how the bike behaves, and that turns every course into a new puzzle. If you have played the winter levels of Moto X3M and want more, this is the game for you.

Ice changes everything

On normal snow your tyres grip well and the bike behaves just as you expect. On blue ice, it is a different story. The back wheel loses grip as soon as you give it too much gas, so it spins and the bike barely moves. Too much throttle at the bottom of an icy ramp means you arrive at the jump too slowly and drop into the freezing water. The trick is to feed in the gas gently, let the tyre bite, and build speed smoothly. Leaning also feels different on ice, because the bike slides more when it lands.

Icicles are the other winter danger. They hang from the cold sky above the track and drop when you ride close underneath. Riders who keep moving are usually past before they land; riders who hesitate get a nasty bump on the helmet. The best way through is to commit and keep the throttle open.

20 frozen levels

The first ten levels take place on a bright, snowy day. Frosty Start and Ice Rink introduce ice. Icicle Alley, Snowball Hills and Frozen Bridge bring in icicles, bigger dunes and collapsing bridges. Polar Loop has loops on icy approaches, Glacier Gaps is full of drops and jumps over freezing water, Yeti Swing has huge swinging wrecking balls, Sled Run is all speed, and Ice Palace mixes crates, springs and tall pillars.

Then the sun goes down. Aurora Ride, Frozen Spinners and Northern Lights take you out under the night sky with spinning bars and giant boost jumps. Crystal Caves adds spinning spike balls, Floating Floes has moving platforms of ice over the water, Icy Rooftops and Blizzard pile on the pressure, Avalanche Drop sends you plunging down mountains, and Frostbite Gauntlet and Winter Master put everything together for the toughest rides in the game.

Flips, stars and your ghost

Each complete backflip or frontflip in the air knocks one second off your time, so the best riders flip off every ramp. Just make sure you land on your wheels: a crash costs far more time than a flip saves. Finish fast for three stars, and use your stars to unlock six bike colours, from Snow Rider to Golden Sleigh. Your best run is replayed as a see-through ghost bike, so you can race yourself and see exactly where you can go faster.

Tips for icy riding

Keep the gas steady on ice instead of tapping it. Before a jump on an icy approach, start building speed earlier than usual. Land with both wheels together to avoid sliding. On collapsing bridges never stop, because the planks drop a moment after you touch them. If you get stuck or flip upside down, press R or the ⟲ button to go straight back to the last checkpoint flag.

Frequently asked questions

Is Moto Xtreme Winter free?

Yes. It is a free winter stunt bike game that runs in a web browser with no download, account or plugin.

How do I ride on ice?

Ice has very little grip, so the back wheel spins if you give it too much gas. Press the gas gently and build speed smoothly, and start your run-up to jumps early.

How do I avoid the icicles?

Icicles drop when you ride close to them. Keep moving at a good speed and you will be past before they land. Stopping underneath is the quickest way to get hit.

How many levels are there?

There are 20 levels: ten snowy daytime courses and ten night courses under the northern lights. Each level can earn up to three stars.

Do flips matter?

Yes. Every complete backflip or frontflip takes one second off your finish time, as long as you land on your wheels.

Is it like Moto X3M Winter?

It is the same kind of side-view winter stunt bike game, with gas, brake and lean controls, icy obstacle courses and flips. Moto Xtreme Winter has its own 20 levels, slippery ice physics, falling icicles and a ghost of your best run.

Does it work on phones, tablets and Chromebooks?

Yes. Use the keyboard on computers and Chromebooks, or the on-screen buttons on phones and tablets.
