🧱 Block Blast

Drop pieces on a 10x10 grid, clear full rows and columns, and chain combos for bonus points.

Score: 0 🏆 Best: 0 🔥 Streak: 0

How to play

  • Tap or click one of your 3 pieces to select it.
  • Tap or click a cell on the grid to drop the piece there. On mouse, hover first to preview the exact footprint (green means it fits, pink means it doesn't).
  • Fill an entire row or column and it clears, adding to your score.
  • Clear lines on back-to-back drops to build a streak. Each step in the streak multiplies your bonus.
  • Keyboard: press 1/2/3 to pick a piece, arrow keys to move the cursor, Enter or Space to drop it.
  • The round ends once none of your 3 pieces fit anywhere on the board.

A free Block Blast you can play anywhere, no download needed

Block Blast is the classic 10x10 grid block-fit puzzle: three pieces appear at the bottom of the screen, and your only job is to place them on the board without running out of room. Fill a full row or a full column with blocks and it clears instantly, making space for what comes next. It sounds simple, and the first few boards usually are, but the grid fills up fast once several odd-shaped pieces land in a row, and reading two or three moves ahead becomes the whole game.

This version adds a real streak system on top of the classic formula. Clearing two or three lines with a single piece pays a much bigger bonus than clearing the same lines one drop at a time, and clearing lines on consecutive drops (no empty drop in between) builds a streak that multiplies every bonus that follows. That changes how you should actually play: instead of clearing the first available line the moment it appears, it's often worth holding a board shape for one more drop to line up a double or triple clear, or to keep a streak alive rather than break it on a smaller, safer play.

There's no timer and no lives system pressuring you mid-round, just the board itself. The round only ends when none of your current 3 pieces can legally be placed anywhere on the grid, at which point your final score is shown and compared against your personal best, saved automatically in your own browser (nothing is sent anywhere, see the Parents & Safety page). Works with mouse, touch, or keyboard, loads instantly with no login, and is safe to play on a school Chromebook. Prefer a calmer, no-streak version of the same board? Frequently asked questions

Is Block Blast free to play, unblocked?

Yes. This version of Block Blast runs entirely in your browser tab with no download, no install, and no account, so it works on a school or work computer just like any other web page.

How do I get a high score in Block Blast?

Clearing more than one row or column with a single piece pays a much bigger bonus than clearing them one at a time, and clearing lines on back-to-back placements builds a streak that multiplies your bonus further. Leaving a few open lanes free rather than filling the board evenly gives you more chances at a multi-line clear.

What happens when none of my pieces fit?

The round ends as soon as none of your current 3 pieces can be placed anywhere on the board. Your best score is saved automatically in your own browser, and New Board starts a fresh grid instantly.

How do I play Block Blast with a keyboard?

Press 1, 2, or 3 to select a piece, use the arrow keys to move the placement cursor around the grid, and press Enter or Space to drop it. Escape deselects the current piece.
