🔷 Hexa Sort
Merge matching colored stacks between neighboring hex slots until every slot clears.
How to play
- Each hex slot holds a small stack of colored pieces.
- Tap a slot with a stack to select it, then tap a neighboring slot.
- If the target is empty, or its top piece matches your color, the pieces move over.
- A slot that fills up with 3 pieces of the same color clears automatically.
- The center hex touches every other slot, use it to relay colors that aren't neighbors yet.
- Clear every slot to solve the level. 4 levels, each unlocking the next.
A color-sorting puzzle built around a hex board's real geometry
Hexa Sort takes the color-matching sort puzzle genre and plays it out on a small hexagon board instead of a grid. Every hex slot holds a short stack of colored pieces, and your only move is merging a slot's top matching-color run into a neighboring slot, either an empty one or one already topped with the same color. Fill a slot to exactly 3 pieces of one uniform color and it clears on its own, freeing that spot back up.
The hex layout matters here in a way a square grid wouldn't: the center hex touches every other slot on the board, so it naturally becomes a relay point for colors that start out on opposite sides of the board and aren't directly next to each other yet. Later levels lean on this directly, routing several pieces of the same color through the center one at a time before the final merge completes a clear.
No timer, no score pressure, just a running move counter. Works with mouse or touch (tap to select, tap to merge), loads instantly with no login, and is safe for a school Chromebook. Your furthest unlocked level saves automatically in your own browser (see the Parents & Safety page). See the square-grid Hex Block Puzzle and the rest of the lineup on the Block Games hub.
Frequently asked questions
How do I merge stacks in Hexa Sort?
Tap a hex slot with a colored stack to select it, then tap a neighboring hex slot. If the target is empty, or its top color matches, the top matching-color pieces move over. A stack that fills up with one uniform color clears automatically.
What if the slot I want isn't a direct neighbor?
You can only move pieces to one of the up-to-6 hexes touching the selected slot. If your target color isn't adjacent yet, move it toward the center hex first, since the center touches every other slot on the board and can act as a relay.
How do I win a level?
Clear every stack on the board. A level is solved the moment every hex slot is empty.
Does my level progress save?
Yes. Your furthest unlocked level is saved automatically in your own browser.
