💥 Block Crush

A bigger 12x12 grid block puzzle with more room to set up combos.

Score: 0 🏆 Best: 0 🔥 Streak: 0

How to play

  • Tap or click one of your 3 pieces to select it.
  • Tap or click a cell on the grid to drop the piece there. On mouse, hover first to preview the exact footprint (green means it fits, pink means it doesn't).
  • Fill an entire row or column and it clears, adding to your score.
  • The 12x12 board gives you more room to hold a shape open for a bigger clear.
  • Clear lines on back-to-back drops to build a streak. Each step in the streak multiplies your bonus.
  • Keyboard: press 1/2/3 to pick a piece, arrow keys to move the cursor, Enter or Space to drop it.
  • The round ends once none of your 3 pieces fit anywhere on the board.

The same Block Blast formula on a bigger board

Block Crush keeps the exact rules of the classic block-fit puzzle, three pieces at a time, fill a full row or column to clear it, chain back-to-back clears into a streak, but stretches the board out to 12x12 instead of the usual 10x10. Those extra 44 cells change the texture of the game more than you'd expect: there's real breathing room to hold a shape open for a couple of extra drops while you set up a double or triple line clear, instead of being forced to clear the first available line the moment it appears.

That extra space cuts both ways. Rounds tend to run longer before the board gets genuinely tight, but when odd-shaped pieces do start piling up, there's simply more surface area for a bad drop to eat into. The combo streak system works exactly like the original: clearing multiple lines with one piece, or clearing lines on consecutive drops, multiplies your bonus, and a bigger board means bigger multi-line clears are realistically on the table more often.

No timer, no lives system, just the board. The round ends once none of your current 3 pieces can be placed anywhere on the grid, at which point your final score is compared against your personal best, saved automatically in your own browser (see the Parents & Safety page). Works with mouse, touch, or keyboard, loads instantly, and is safe for a school Chromebook. Want the standard 10x10 board instead? Try Block Blast, or see the full lineup on the Block Games hub.

Frequently asked questions

How is Block Crush different from Block Blast?

The board is bigger, 12x12 instead of 10x10, with the same piece pool and combo streak system. More cells means more room to plan ahead and set up a double or triple line clear before you commit to it.

Is Block Crush free to play, unblocked?

Yes. It runs entirely in your browser tab with no download, no install, and no account, so it works on a school or work computer just like any other web page.

How do I get a high score in Block Crush?

Clearing more than one row or column with a single piece pays a much bigger bonus than clearing them one at a time, and clearing lines on back-to-back placements builds a streak that multiplies your bonus further. The bigger board gives you more room to hold a shape open for a multi-line clear.

What happens when none of my pieces fit?

The round ends as soon as none of your current 3 pieces can be placed anywhere on the board. Your best score is saved automatically in your own browser, and New Board starts a fresh grid instantly.
