đļ River Rafting Rush 3D
Paddle a raft down wild white-water rivers, past rocks and over waterfalls.
How to play
- Pick a raft and a river, then push off. The current carries you downstream.
- Hold W or the up arrow to paddle forward. A and D (or the arrows) turn the raft. S back-paddles.
- Press Space for a strong power stroke when you need to get across the river fast.
- Steer through the gaps between the rocks. Follow the coins: they mark the best line.
- Keep out of whirlpools and clear of fallen logs. Line up straight before each waterfall.
- Hard bumps cost a heart. Lose them all and the raft flips back to the last checkpoint.
Ride the rapids
River Rafting Rush 3D is a free rafting game that you play in your browser. Your inflatable raft carries a crew of five, paddles in hand, and the river is in a hurry. White water foams over the rocks, the current pulls you into the bends and the roar of a waterfall grows louder round the next corner. Steer your raft through it all and reach the bottom first.
In a raft, the river does most of the work. You cannot stop, and you cannot paddle back upstream. What you can do is steer: paddle forward to go faster than the water, turn the raft to point it at a gap, back-paddle to slow down before a hard bend, and use the power stroke to dart across the river when a rock appears in front of you.
Rocks, logs, whirlpools and waterfalls
Rows of boulders stretch across the rapids, but there is always a gap. Find it early and steer for it. Fallen logs stick out from the banks, so keep to the open water. Whirlpools spin your raft round and drag it sideways. Waterfalls are the big thrill: the river drops over a ledge and your raft flies off the edge and splashes down in the pool below. Line up straight before you go over, and you land cleanly and keep your speed.
Hearts and checkpoints
A gentle bump just bounces you off, but a hard crash into a rock costs one of your hearts. Lose all your hearts and the raft flips over and you start again from the last checkpoint. Coins along the river mark the best line through each rapid, so following the coins is the easiest way to keep your hearts.
Eight rivers
Pine Creek is a gentle river through a pine forest, perfect for learning to paddle and steer. Red Rock Canyon is your first race, against three rival rafts below towering red cliffs. Jungle Falls has two jungle waterfalls and a whirlpool or two. Glacier Gorge has icy blue water and blocks of ice to dodge, and a par time to beat. Twin Falls Race has two big drops. Firefly Night Run is paddled at night, with lanterns lighting the way. Storm River has rain, fast brown water and fallen logs. Dragon's Staircase is the grand finale: four waterfalls in a row.
Stars and rafts
Every river gives up to three stars: one for reaching the end, one for collecting at least 60% of the coins, and one for winning the race or beating the par time. Stars unlock new rafts: the Splash Raft is ready straight away, the River Runner unlocks at 5 stars, the Canyon Cruiser at 11 and the Thunder Raft at 18.
Endless Rapids
In Endless Rapids, the river never ends. It gets steeper, faster and rockier the further you go, with surprise waterfalls along the way. How many metres can you paddle before your raft runs out of hearts? Your best distance is saved so you can try to beat it.
Tips
Look ahead: the river shows you the next row of rocks long before you reach it, and a small turn early is better than a big one late. Paddle forward in the rapids: a faster raft steers better than one that is just drifting. In a race, the rival rafts follow a good line, so watch where they go on a new river. And before a waterfall, stop turning and paddle straight.
Play anywhere
River Rafting Rush 3D runs in any modern browser on computers, Chromebooks, tablets and phones, with no download and no account. On a touchscreen, hold the on-screen arrow buttons to paddle and turn. Your stars, rafts and best distance are saved only in your own browser. Rafts bump and bounce and crews get wet, but nobody gets hurt. See the Parents & Safety page for more.
