๐ Police Chase Patrol
Siren on: answer calls, stop speeders and chase down getaway cars.
How to play
- Choose a police car and a shift, then press Start the Shift. Calls come in over the radio.
- W or the up arrow is the gas and S or the down arrow is the brake. Hold the brake at a stop to reverse. Steer with A and D or the arrow keys, and use Space for the handbrake.
- Press Q (or tap ๐จ) to switch the siren on. Cars ahead of you move to the kerb lane and slow down so you can get past, and drivers know you want them to stop.
- Emergency calls: follow the blue GPS arrows to the scene and stop in the flashing blue ring.
- Speeders: catch up and stay right behind the car with your siren on until it pulls over. Then stop just behind it to write the ticket.
- Pursuits: a getaway car tries to lose you. Stay close with the siren on to fill the bust meter. Getting in front of it or bumping it fills the meter faster. If you fall too far behind for too long, it gets away.
- Try not to bump other cars. C changes the camera, L switches the lights on, R puts you back on the road and P pauses.
A police car game with no weapons
Police Chase Patrol puts you in the driving seat of a patrol car for a whole shift. You start outside the police station, and calls come in over the radio: a fender bender that needs the road made safe, a car flying through town at 45 miles an hour, or a getaway car racing away across the city. It is all about driving. There are no weapons and nobody gets hurt: speeders get a ticket, and when a chase ends the driver simply pulls over and gives up.
The city is full of traffic, with traffic lights at the junctions, and it all reacts to you. Switch on the siren and the cars ahead move over to the kerb lane and slow down so you can get through, just like real drivers should. Leave it off and you will be stuck in the queue at the red light like everybody else.
Three kinds of call
Emergency calls send you across town. Follow the blue GPS chevrons on the road, weave through the traffic with the siren on, and stop in the flashing ring by the scene. The faster you get there, the better your time for the shift.
Speeders are cars doing far too much in a 30 zone. Catch up, get behind the car and keep the siren on until the driver indicates and pulls over to the kerb. Then pull in behind it and stop to write the ticket. Some drivers at night decide not to stop, and a simple traffic stop turns into a pursuit.
Pursuits are the big one. The getaway car ignores red lights, changes lanes to squeeze past traffic and chooses the roads that lead away from you at every junction. Stay within a few car lengths with the siren on and the bust meter fills. Box the car in behind slow traffic, get in front of it, or give it a nudge from behind and the meter fills faster. Fall more than a couple of hundred metres behind for fifteen seconds and it gets away.
Six shifts and free patrol
Rookie Patrol teaches the basics with one emergency call and one speeder. Speed Trap has three speeders in a row. Hot Pursuit is a single chase at sunset. Rush Hour fills the streets with extra traffic, so the siren really matters. Night Shift ends with a speeder who will not stop, and Most Wanted is two fast getaway cars back to back. Free Patrol has no clock and keeps the calls coming as long as you like.
Every shift has a par time built from the calls you get. Finish every call under par with three bumps or fewer for three stars. Stars unlock the roomy Police SUV, which bumps harder in a pursuit, and the fast Interceptor.
Good driving still counts
Police drivers are trained to drive fast and safely at the same time, and so are you. Every time you bump a civilian car it goes on your record for the shift, so plan your overtakes, brake before the corners and use the siren to clear the way instead of barging through. It is a fun way for kids to think about road safety from the other side of the windscreen.
Police Chase Patrol is free, needs no download or account, and saves your stars only in your own browser. See the Parents & Safety page for details. Prefer a cartoon chase from above? Try Precinct Pursuit. More driving: Car Driving Simulator 3D, City Bus Simulator, or all our Car Games.
Frequently asked questions

No. It is a driving game. Speeders get a ticket, and when you catch a getaway car the driver pulls over and gives up.
