Run your own car wash

Car Wash & Detailing is a free 3D game where you run a hand car wash. Dirty cars line up on the road outside your bright blue bay, each driver wanting something different: a quick Basic wash, a Deluxe with a polish, or the Ultimate treatment with polish and shiny tyres. You wave the next car in, it rolls into the bay, and you get to work with a rack of real car wash tools.

Every car is covered in its own mix of mud, dust, bird droppings and road grime, and every bit of it washes off exactly where you aim. Walk around the car, crouch down to reach the wheels and sills, and climb up for a look at the roof.

Hose, foam, sponge, polish

The hose is your main tool: hold it on the car and watch the mud and dust stream away. Some dirt is more stubborn. Switch to foam and cover the car in fluffy white soap, then grab the sponge and scrub away the bugs, bird mess and oily grime. The sponge only works on soapy paint, just like the real thing.

For Deluxe and Ultimate customers the job isn't finished when the car is clean. Pick up the polish and rub it over the paintwork, and the car starts to gleam in the light. Ultimate customers also want tyre shine: click each of the four wheels and they turn a deep glossy black.

The job panel shows everything the package needs, with a bar for how clean the car is, a bar for how polished it is, and dots for the tyres. When you can't find the last bit of dirt, press Find and every spot that's left flashes bright pink.

Happy customers pay more

Customers don't like waiting. Each one has a patience bar in the queue, and if it runs out they drive off without a wash. Finish a car to its package, and fast, and you'll get the full price plus a tip. Hand it back half done and they'll only pay part of the price and tell you about it.

Upgrade your car wash

Every dollar you earn can go back into the business. A pressure hose cleans 50 percent faster, a foam cannon soaps the whole car in one go, a power buffer polishes twice as fast, a waiting lounge keeps customers patient for longer, and a neon sign brings more cars in. The biggest upgrade is a second bay with a helper, who takes the Basic washes from the queue and cleans them all on their own while you do the fancy jobs.

In Career mode each day runs from 9am to 7pm, and your money and upgrades are saved between days. Nine goals, like finishing your first Ultimate wash and getting a car 100 percent clean, each give a star, and stars unlock new car wash brands. Rush Hour gives you every tool and a long queue for five busy minutes, and Free Play lets you wash car after car with no pressure at all.

Car Wash & Detailing is hands-on and satisfying, with a clear goal for every car and lots of ways to get better and faster. It teaches choosing the right tool for the job, finishing tasks properly and a little bit about running a business. There are no ads inside the game, no chat and no sign-up.

Car Wash & Detailing is free, needs no download or account, and keeps your career save only in your own browser. Customers speak using your browser's built-in voice, and the mute button turns it off.
