Hatch, eat and grow
Dino Sim 3D is a free dinosaur simulator where you start life as a tiny baby dinosaur, just hatched from an egg in a nest on a hill. Below you stretches a green prehistoric valley: rolling meadows full of ferns, a winding river, a sparkling lake, tall cycad trees heavy with orange fruit and, in the distance, a smoking volcano. It's all yours to explore.
Baby dinosaurs are always hungry. Munch ferns, shake fruit down from the trees and drink at the river to keep your food and water bars topped up. Every mouthful helps you grow, and when you've eaten enough you grow into a teen and then into a giant adult, towering over the ferns, striding across the valley and reaching fruit you could only dream of as a baby.
Six dinosaurs to play
Start as a Tyrannosaurus rex with a huge head, tiny arms and the loudest roar in the valley, or a Triceratops with three horns and a bony frill. Finish missions to unlock the Stegosaurus with plates along its back and spikes on its tail, a fast, feathery raptor, the armoured Ankylosaurus with its club tail, and finally the mighty long-necked Brachiosaurus. Each one looks, moves and sounds a little different, and the raptor is the fastest runner of them all.
Explore the prehistoric valley
There's plenty to discover. Eight glowing dig sites are hidden around the valley, each with a fossil to uncover, from a T. rex tooth to an ammonite shell and a giant egg shell. A friendly herd of parasaurolophus wanders along the lake shore; walk alongside them and you're one of the family. Pterosaurs glide in circles high above until you let out a big ROAR and send them flapping into the sky. Climb the steep slopes of the volcano to the lookout flag and gaze out over the whole valley.
Ten dino missions
Ten missions guide your adventure: munch five ferns, drink at the river, roar, grow into a teen, dig up three fossils, shake fruit from a tree, walk with the herd, climb to the volcano lookout, find all eight fossils and grow into a giant adult. Each one you finish counts towards unlocking the next dinosaur.
Friendly and safe for kids
In Dino Sim 3D every dinosaur is a friendly plant eater (yes, even the T. rex!), so there is no fighting and no scary chases. It's a calm, curious adventure about looking after your dinosaur, exploring nature and learning a little about prehistoric life along the way. There's no timer and nothing to lose.
Dino Sim 3D is free, runs in any modern browser on computers, tablets and phones, and needs no download or sign-up. There are no ads inside the game and no chat, and your missions, fossils and dinosaurs are saved only in your own browser. Parents can read more on the Parents & Safety page. Frequently asked questions
Is Dino Sim 3D free?
Yes. It is free to play in the browser with no download, no account and no in-game purchases.
How do I grow my dinosaur?
Eat! Every fern, fruit and fossil you find gives growth points. The bar under your dinosaur's name shows how close you are to growing into a teen, then an adult.
How do I unlock more dinosaurs?
Finish missions from the ð list. The Stegosaurus unlocks after 3 missions, the raptor after 5, the Ankylosaurus after 7 and the Brachiosaurus after 9.
Is there fighting?
No. All the dinosaurs are friendly plant eaters. You can roar, but it only makes the pterosaurs fly higher.
Where are the fossils?
Look for glowing yellow sparkles above little mounds of earth with a bone on top. There are eight, including one near the volcano lookout.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Use the on-screen pad to walk and the Jump, Eat and Roar buttons. Drag the screen to look around.
