Live a whole life, one year at a time

Life Simulator is a free life simulation game where you guide a character all the way from their first birthday to their ninetieth. Start by creating someone: give them a name, a skin tone, a hair colour and style, a favourite shirt and maybe a pair of glasses. Then watch them grow, from a giggling baby to a curious kid, a busy teenager, a grown-up with a career and finally a wise grandparent with silver hair.

Every year is a new page in the story. A surprise card asks what you'll do: share your toys with the new kid at nursery, try for the lead in the school play, enter the science fair, join the band, take a summer job at the ice-cream shop, coach a kids' football team or run a marathon. There's no right answer; each choice shapes who your character becomes.

Six stats to grow

Your character has six stats: happiness, smarts, health, creativity, friends and money. Each year you also get two activities to spend time on: study, play sport, make art, practise music, read a book, see friends, help at home, volunteer, go to the gym, work hard, travel or just relax. A balanced life keeps everything growing, but you can also go all in on your dream.

School, university and sixteen careers

At five you start school, and at eighteen you choose what comes next: university, an apprenticeship or a job straight away. Then the careers open up. Become a teacher, doctor, vet, engineer, scientist, pilot, chef, artist, musician, firefighter, farmer, game designer, writer or shop owner. Train hard and you might even become a pro athlete or an astronaut! Every career has five levels, and working hard earns promotions all the way to the top.

Pets, homes and travel

At eight your family lets you choose a pet: a dog, a cat, a rabbit, a hamster, a goldfish or a parrot. When you start earning, save up to move from a small apartment to a cosy house, a big house with a garden and finally a dream home by the sea. Take holidays to Japan, Italy, Kenya, Brazil, Iceland and more to become a real globetrotter.

Twenty-four achievements

Achievements are kept across every life you live, so there's always a reason to try a different path. Top the class, become a sports star or an artist, publish a book, run a marathon, win a garden prize, volunteer, reach the top of a career, become an astronaut or a doctor, save a million dollars, buy your dream home, visit five countries, and try to finish a life with every stat above seventy to become a Legend.
