The best part of a snow day

Snowball Fight Arena is a free snowball fight game that captures the most fun part of a snow day. Two snow forts face each other across a snowy park, kids in bright winter coats dash between the trees and the walls, and snowballs fly everywhere. Scoop up a handful, peek round your fort, aim, throw, and duck back before the reply comes. Three hits and you are out, back to your base for a few seconds, then straight back into the battle.

It is fast and friendly: no weapons, no blood, nobody gets hurt, just splats of snow and a lot of giggling.

Scoop, aim, throw

Snowballs do not grow on trees: you have to make them. Stand still and your kid scoops snow, one ball at a time, up to five. That is the clever part of the game, because standing still out in the open is dangerous. The best moment to scoop is behind a fort. To throw, aim with the mouse and click, or hold the button to keep throwing. Throws land where you point, so you can lob a short one at a kid behind cover. Press Space (or the ❄️ button on a phone) to throw at the nearest kid automatically.

Snow forts

Each team has a U-shaped snow fort near its base, and there are walls of snow blocks all over the middle of the park. Hide behind them and snowballs splat against the snow instead of you. But every block cracks a little with each hit, and after a few it crumbles into a puff of snow, so even the best fort will not last forever.

Power-ups

Power-ups appear in the middle of the park now and then. 🧊 Ice balls fly faster and count as two hits. ⚪ Mega balls are huge, slower snowballs that splash everyone nearby. ✳️ Triple throw sends three snowballs in a fan. ☕ Hot cocoa warms you up and gives back a heart. The computer kids want them too, so run fast.

Snow Day: eight levels

Snow Day is a set of eight battles. First Snow is a gentle 1 vs 1. Buddy Battle gives you a friend against two. Hold the Fort is a defense level: waves of kids attack your fort and you have to stop them all. Three Up is a 3 vs 3. Everyone vs Everyone is a five-kid free-for-all where every kid is on their own team. Big Siege brings four bigger waves at your fort. Snow Pros is a tough 3 vs 3. And the last level is The Snow King: a giant kid in a crown who throws mega balls and takes twenty hits to knock out.

Every level gives up to three stars: one for winning, one for winning while being out two times or less, and one for winning without ever being out. Stars unlock new winter coats: Green Bobble, Purple Puffer and Golden Champ.

Quick Battle

Quick Battle lets you set up any team fight you like: 1 vs 1 up to 4 vs 4, against easy, medium or hard kids.

Tips

Always scoop behind cover. Move sideways when a snowball is coming at you; it is easier to dodge than to outrun. Throw at kids who are standing still, because they are probably scooping. Lead your throws: aim where a running kid will be, not where they are. And save power-ups for when it is busy.
