🏂 Snowboard Rush

Spin, flip, grab and grind down an endless mountain on a snowboard.

A snowboard game made for tricks

Snowboard Rush is a free snowboarding game where the mountain is your skate park. You carve down an endless run full of kickers, boxes and rails, with pine trees lining the way. Every kicker is a chance to show off: spin, flip, grab your board, and stomp the landing to bank the points. String several tricks together without crashing and your combo multiplier climbs, turning a good run into a huge score.

The controls are easy to learn and the tricks feel great, but landing a double flip with a 540 spin and a grab, then sliding straight onto a rail, takes real skill. That is what makes it such a good snowboard game for both new and experienced players.

Spins, flips and grabs

In the air, the left and right keys spin you round, W throws a front flip and S a back flip, and Shift or E grabs the board. Mixing them makes bigger tricks: a backflip with a 360 spin and a grab scores far more than a plain spin. The secret is the landing. On a snowboard you can land riding forwards or switch (backwards), so a 180 or a 540 is fine, but if you come down sideways or upside down, you crash and lose the points.

Boxes, rails and combos

Boxes and rails are placed along the run. Line up, ollie on with Space if you need to, and slide along for grind points the whole way. A grind in the middle of a trick chain keeps your combo alive. The combo multiplier grows with every trick you land and resets when you crash, so the best runs are long, clean chains of tricks and grinds.

Eight sessions and Endless

Sessions are 90-second timed runs, each on a different stretch of mountain: First Tracks, Kicker Line, Box Garden, Big Air Ridge, Tree Run, Rail Valley, Snowstorm and finally the Pro Session. Each has three score goals, one star per goal. Endless mode gives you three hearts and no clock: ride as far as you can and pile up the biggest score you can before the trees catch you out.

Unlock new boards

Stars unlock new snowboards. You start with Sky Rider and can earn Lava Deck, Neon Glide and the Aurora Pro board. Each has its own colours, so you can ride in style.

Tips for big scores

Small kickers give short air: one simple trick is plenty. Big kickers give time for a flip and a spin. Stop spinning a moment before you land, so you can see which way you are facing. Grabs add points without much risk. Look for the box or rail after each kicker and keep the combo going. And steer round the trees between features: the score is worth nothing if you hit a pine.

About snowboarding

Snowboarding grew out of surfing and skateboarding in the 1970s and 1980s and became an Olympic sport in 1998. Freestyle riders use the same tricks you do in this game: spins counted in degrees (180, 360, 540...), front and back flips, and grabs named after where the hand holds the board. Snowboard Rush keeps it arcade-simple, but the idea is the same: big air, style, and a clean landing.

Riding between the features

Between kickers you are carving down a real slope, so you can press W to speed up or S to scrub speed. Speed matters: hit a kicker fast and you fly higher and longer, which gives you time for a bigger trick, but it also means less time to line up the next feature. Slower riders get smaller air but more control. Finding the right speed for each section is part of mastering the game.

The camera can be switched with C between a close chase view and a wider one that shows more of what is coming. The wider view is great for planning lines through the tree runs, while the close view makes every spin look spectacular.

Frequently asked questions

Is Snowboard Rush free?

Yes. It is a free 3D snowboard game that runs in your browser with no download or account, and nothing to buy.

How do I do tricks?

Jump off a kicker, then spin with the left and right keys, flip with W or S, and grab with Shift or E while you are in the air.

Why did I crash on landing?

You landed sideways or upside down. On a snowboard you must land facing forwards or backwards (switch), so finish your spin on a 180, 360, 540 and so on.

How does the combo work?

Every trick or grind you land adds to a combo multiplier. A crash resets it, so long clean chains score the most.

How many sessions are there?

Eight 90-second sessions, each with three score goals, plus an Endless mode with three hearts.

How do I unlock new snowboards?

Earn stars in the sessions. Stars unlock Lava Deck, Neon Glide and the Aurora Pro board.
