🚉 Train Station Builder
Every train needs a platform. You're the station master.
How to play
- Pick a station style and a game, then click Open the Station.

A train station game you can play in your browser
Train Station Builder makes you the station master of Central Station, a busy railway station with trains arriving from four lines. There is nothing to download. The game loads in a browser tab and shows the whole station from above: the concourse building with its curved roof, the platforms with their canopies, the tracks leading in from the throat and the town beyond. Trains appear in the Arrivals list, and your job is to give each one a platform.
It is a simple idea that gets busier and busier. Click an arriving train, then click a free platform. Its passengers start walking to that platform, the signal for that track turns yellow, and when the countdown ends the train glides in and stops. The doors open, the passengers board, the fares roll in with a coin sound, and the train pulls out again. Leave a train without a platform and it waits at the red signal, and your station's reputation starts to fall.
Build your station
Every passenger pays a fare, and fares buy upgrades. Your station starts with two platforms, and you can build up to six. More platforms mean more trains, more passengers and more coins, but also more to keep track of. Shops make every passenger worth more. A café, a newsstand and a toy shop each add a little extra to every fare, and a clock tower over the concourse makes trains feel more on time, which lifts your reputation.
The four lines each have their own colour and destination: the Red Line to the Harbor, the Blue Line to the Airport, the Green Line to the Hills and the Gold Express to the Capital, which uses sleek high-speed trains and pays a bigger fare. As your station grows, longer trains and more lines start to arrive.
Career, Rush Hour and Sandbox
Career mode has nine goals to complete, from serving your first fifty passengers to opening every shop and running all six platforms with a sparkling reputation. Each goal earns a star, and stars unlock new station styles: a modern glass-and-steel station and a grand old terminal. Rush Hour gives you five minutes and a four-platform station with trains arriving fast, and the more coins you earn the more stars you get. Sandbox starts you with a big pile of coins to build the station of your dreams at your own pace.
Why kids love station games
Big railway stations are exciting places, with trains coming and going, announcements and crowds. Train Station Builder turns that into a gentle management game. Players practise planning ahead, keeping several things in mind at once, saving up for upgrades and making good choices under a little time pressure. It is a great next step for children who love trains but prefer strategy to driving.
Train Station Builder is free, needs no account, and keeps your goals and stars only in your own browser. It works with a mouse, a touchscreen or the keyboard. See the Parents & Safety page for privacy details. Want to drive the trains yourself? Try Rail Driver 3D or Metro Driver 3D, or browse the Train Games hub.
