Fill 'em up, stop on the dollar, grow your station.

How to play

  • Cars drive in and stop at a pump. The bubble over each car shows what the driver wants: the fuel type and an amount like $20, or "fill it up".
  • Click the car (or its pump number, or press 1 to 4) to send your attendant over.
  • Pick the fuel the driver asked for. Petrol is green, diesel is yellow, premium is red and EV charging is blue. The wrong fuel sends the car away on a tow truck!
  • Hold the Pump button (or the Space bar) and let go when the display shows the amount the driver asked for. The pump starts slowly, so short taps let you creep up to the exact cent. Stopping within 20 cents earns a tip.
  • For "fill it up", keep pumping until the pump clicks off on its own. Press Done to take the money.
  • Some drivers pop into the shop. When someone waits at the till, click the shop (or press T), then choose the right change from three answers.
  • Watch the fuel tanks and shelves in the panels below the game. Order a tanker before a tank runs dry and restock the shelves, then spend your takings on upgrades.

Run your own gas station

Gas Station Simulator is a free 3D game where you run a roadside filling station from early morning until the lights go on at night. Cars turn in off the road, pull up under the canopy and wait at the pumps. Every driver wants something slightly different: a quick $15 of petrol, a full tank of diesel for a big SUV, a splash of premium for a shiny sports car, or a charge for an electric hatchback. Your attendant in the company cap does the work, and you decide where to send them.

The station starts small, with two pump islands and a little shop with a till, some shelves and a fridge. By the end of a good career it can have four islands, premium fuel, EV chargers, a coffee machine, a drive-through car wash and a helper in an orange shirt who serves cars without being asked. Every upgrade is paid for with money you earned at the pumps and the till.

Stop the pump on the exact amount

The heart of the game is the pump itself. Pick the right nozzle, hold the pump button and watch the green numbers climb on the display. Most drivers ask for an amount of money, so the skill is letting go at exactly $20.00 and not $20.47. The pump starts slowly and speeds up the longer you hold it, so a few short taps at the end let you creep up to the exact cent. Stop within 20 cents and the driver is so impressed they leave a tip. Go over and they only pay what they asked for, and go well under and they grumble about it.

Some drivers just say "fill it up". For those, keep pumping until the pump clicks off on its own when the tank is full; the gauge beside the display shows how full the tank is. Others ask you to clean the windscreen as well, which takes a couple of seconds and earns another tip.

Read every bubble carefully. A diesel van needs diesel, a sports car wants premium and an electric car needs the charger, and putting the wrong fuel in a car is a disaster that sends it away on a tow truck and drags your rating down.

Work the shop till

Fuel is only half the business. After filling up, some drivers walk into the shop, pick up a snack, a drink or a map and queue at the counter. Send your attendant behind the till and the customer hands over a note. You choose the right change from three answers, so a $6.50 shop paid with a $10 bill needs $3.50 back. It's a quick bit of money maths that keeps the queue moving and the customers smiling.

Every item sold comes off the shelves, so keep an eye on the stock bar and restock before the shelves run empty. A coffee machine brings more drivers into the shop and adds coffee to their orders.

Keep the tanks full

Your fuel lives in underground tanks, one for each fuel, shown in the Fuel tanks panel below the game. Every litre you pump comes out of them. When a tank starts to run low, order a delivery and a tanker truck rolls in off the road, parks by the filler caps and tops the tank up. Deliveries cost money up front, so plan ahead: an empty tank on a busy afternoon means turning customers away.

Grow the business, day by day

In Career mode each day runs from 6am to 10pm, with busier rush hours in the morning and late afternoon. At closing time you get a report: fuel sales, shop sales, car wash takings, tips, what you spent and your customer rating. Your cash, upgrades and tanks are saved, and the next day picks up where you left off. Nine career goals, like serving your first ten cars, making five exact fills, opening the car wash and finishing a day rated 4.5 stars, each earn a star, and stars unlock new station brands with their own colours on the canopy, shop and price sign.

Rush Hour gives you a fully built station with four pumps and four minutes on the clock: how much money can you take before time runs out? Free Play unlocks everything, stops the clock and lets you simply enjoy running the busiest station in town.

What kids learn

Gas Station Simulator is a fun way to practise real-life money skills: reading prices, estimating, stopping on an exact amount and working out change. It also shows how a small business works, with income from sales, costs for stock and wages, and choices about which upgrade to buy next. Everything is kid-friendly, with no ads inside the game, no chat and no sign-up.

Gas Station Simulator is free, needs no download or account, and keeps your career save only in your own browser. Drivers speak using your browser's built-in voice, and the mute button turns it off. Frequently asked questions

Is Gas Station Simulator free?

Yes. It is free to play in the browser with no download, no account and no in-game purchases. Your career is saved only in your own browser.

How do I stop the pump on the exact amount?

Hold the Pump button or the Space bar and let go just before the amount the driver asked for. The pump starts slowly each time you press it, so a few short taps let you creep up to the exact cent. Stopping within 20 cents earns a tip.

What happens if I use the wrong fuel?

The car can't drive on it, so the driver has to call a tow truck and leaves without paying, and your rating drops. Always check the bubble: petrol is green, diesel is yellow, premium is red and EV charging is blue.

How do I get more pumps?

Earn money by serving cars and selling shop items, then buy Pump island 3 and Pump island 4 in the Upgrades panel below the game. More pumps mean more cars at once and more customers turning in.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Tap a car to send the attendant, tap the fuel buttons and press and hold the big Pump button. On a computer you can also use the keyboard: 1 to 4 for the pumps, Q W E R for the fuels, Space to pump and Enter to finish.

What age is it for?

It is designed for players aged about 7 and up. Younger players can enjoy filling cars up, while older players can chase exact fills, fast change at the till and a five-star rating.
