🔩 Screw Puzzle

Unscrew colored screws in the right order to clear the board.

A pin-pull puzzle about what's actually on top

Screw Puzzle lays several colored screws across one shared board, and some of them physically overlap: one screw resting on top of another at a shared spot. You can only unscrew a piece that's genuinely free, nothing else currently pinning it down anywhere along its length. Tap the wrong one (a dimmed, blocked screw) and nothing happens, tap a bright one and it comes free, often revealing what was hiding underneath it.

Every level here is guaranteed solvable, there's always at least one screw you can legally remove, and clearing screws in any valid order eventually opens up the whole board. That means there's no risk of getting stuck partway through, the only real skill is reading which screws are actually free right now versus which only look reachable. Later levels stack more screws on top of each other, so the reveal-what-was-underneath moment becomes a bigger part of the puzzle.

No timer, no lives, just working through the stack. Your furthest unlocked level saves automatically in your own browser (see the Parents & Safety page), and it works the same with mouse, touch, or keyboard focus and Enter, so it's fine for a school Chromebook. See the rest of the lineup, including the similarly logic-driven Unblock Me, on the Block Games hub.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which screw to unscrew first?

A removable screw is drawn bright with a white outline. A screw that's still covered by another screw is dimmed and can't be removed yet. Clear the screws on top first and the ones underneath will light up.

Can a level become unsolvable?

No. Every level is guaranteed solvable by design: there's always at least one uncovered screw available, and removing screws in any valid order eventually clears the whole board.

How do I unscrew a screw?

Tap or click a bright, removable screw. Tapping a dimmed, blocked screw does nothing until whatever's covering it is cleared.

Does my level progress save?

Yes. Your furthest unlocked level is saved automatically in your own browser.
