Drive a real combine harvester

Harvest Hero 3D is a free 3D farming game where you drive a big combine harvester through golden fields of wheat, barley, corn, sunflowers and canola. The combine is huge, with a wide red header at the front, a spinning reel that pulls the crop in, a cab high above the field and a grain tank that fills up as you work. Every plant you drive over is cut, leaving neat rows of stubble behind you, and you can watch the grain pile up in the tank.

The farm has a white farmhouse, a big red barn, a tall silver silo, dirt roads and fences around every field, with hills and trees on the horizon. Switch between a chase camera, a view from inside the cab and a top-down view that makes it easy to see which strips you've missed.

Ten harvest contracts

The contracts start with a single wheat field right next to the farmyard and build up to a Grand Harvest of four fields and four different crops at dusk. Along the way you'll harvest two fields of barley, a towering field of corn, a rocky field where boulders hide in the wheat, a sea of sunflowers, canola fields crossed by power lines, and a big wheat field as the sun goes down.

Each contract asks you to harvest a target percentage of every field, eighty-five percent, and then empty your grain tank. A progress counter shows how much you've cut, and the mini map shows your fields turning from gold to stubble as you work.

Fill the tank, empty the tank

The grain tank only holds so much. When it's full, the header stops cutting and an arrow points you to the nearest place to unload: the silo in the farmyard, or in later contracts a blue tractor with a grain trailer parked at the edge of the field. Pull up next to it and stop, and the unloading pipe swings out and empties your tank. Planning your runs so that the tank fills up near the silo end of the field saves a lot of driving.

Upgrade your combine

Every finished contract pays coins. Spend them in the workshop on a wider header that cuts more crop on each pass, a bigger grain tank so you unload less often, and a stronger engine for a faster combine. Stars unlock new colours for your combine: classic green, red, yellow and blue.

Finish a contract under its par time with no bumps for three stars. Hitting a rock or a power pole costs you the third star, so steer carefully around them.

Good for young farmers

Harvest Hero 3D is easy to drive and hard to master. Younger players can enjoy simply driving the combine and watching the crop disappear, while older players can plan efficient routes and chase three stars on every contract. It's a fun way to learn how crops are harvested and how grain gets from the field to the silo. There are no ads inside the game, no chat and no sign-up.
