๐ Tractor Farm Life
Plough it, sow it, grow it, sell it.
How to play
- Drive with W A S D or the arrow keys (on a phone, use the on-screen buttons). Press C or ๐ฅ to change the camera.
- Follow the arrow into the shed and stop. Pick a tool to hitch: the plough first.
- Drive up and down your field with the plough until the grass has turned into brown soil.
- Go back to the shed, hitch the seeder, choose your seeds and drive over the ploughed soil to sow them. Seeds cost a little money.
- Crops grow slowly while you work. Drive back to the farmyard and press ๐ค Sleep to let a whole night pass, and they'll shoot up.
- When the field turns golden, hitch the harvester and drive over the ripe crop to fill the hopper. Sell it at the silo by stopping next to it.
- Spend your money in the workshop and on new fields, and work towards the nine farm goals.
Your own farm, your own tractor
Tractor Farm Life is a free 3D farming game where you run a little farm with a white farmhouse, a big red barn, a machine shed and a tall silo. You have one field to start with, a shiny green tractor and a few hundred dollars. Everything that happens on the farm is up to you: what to plant, when to plough, when to harvest and what to spend your money on.
Every field is made of one-metre squares, and every square changes as you work it. Grass turns to brown furrows behind the plough, tiny green shoots pop up where you've sown seeds, and over time they grow into tall stalks that turn golden when they're ripe. The mini map shows every square, so you can see exactly what's been done.
The farming cycle
Real farming happens in steps, and so does Tractor Farm Life. Drive into the shed and hitch the plough, then plough your field from one end to the other. Swap the plough for the seeder, choose your seeds and sow the whole field. Spray fertiliser if you want the crop to grow faster. Then let nature do its work: crops grow slowly during the day, and when you're ready you can drive back to the farmyard and sleep, and wake up to a field that has grown overnight.
When your crop is ripe, hitch the harvester and drive over the golden rows to collect them into the hopper. Take the full hopper to the silo, stop next to it, and watch the money roll in.
Six crops to grow
Wheat and barley are cheap to sow and easy to grow. As you earn stars, canola, corn, sunflowers and potatoes unlock too. They cost more to sow and take longer to grow, but sell for much more at the silo. Each field grows one crop at a time, so you'll plan which crop goes where.
Grow your farm
Money pays for seeds and fertiliser, and for making the farm bigger. Buy the Meadow field next door and then the big Hill field, fit wider implements so each pass covers more ground, get a bigger hopper so you sell less often, and upgrade the tractor's engine. Your farm is saved automatically, day by day, with every square of every field just as you left it.
Nine farm goals, like ploughing a whole field, growing three different crops and owning all three fields, each give a star. Stars unlock new seeds and new tractor colours: red, blue and orange.
What kids learn
Tractor Farm Life shows where food comes from, one step at a time: preparing the soil, planting, waiting for the crop to grow, harvesting and selling. It also teaches patience and planning, and a little about money: seeds cost money now, but a good harvest pays it back many times over. There are no ads inside the game, no chat and no sign-up.
Tractor Farm Life is free, needs no download or account, and keeps your farm saved only in your own browser. See the Parents & Safety page for details. For more farm and driving games, try Harvest Hero 3D, Offroad 4x4 Trails, Counting Farm Friends or the rest of our Simulation Games.
Frequently asked questions
Is Tractor Farm Life free?
Yes. It is free to play in the browser with no download, no account and no in-game purchases. Your farm is saved only in your own browser.
How do I change tools?
Drive into the shed next to the red barn and stop. A panel appears with the plough, seeder, fertiliser sprayer and harvester. Pick one and it's hitched to the back of your tractor.
How long do crops take to grow?
Crops grow slowly while you play, and a lot overnight. Drive back to the farmyard and press Sleep to skip to the next morning. Fertiliser makes them grow 60% faster.
Why won't my seeder sow?
Seeds only go into ploughed soil, and each field grows one crop at a time. Plough the field first, and harvest the old crop before sowing a different one. Seeds also cost money.
How do I sell my crop?
Drive the harvester to the silo when the hopper is full and stop right next to it. The crop sells automatically.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Use the on-screen buttons to drive, and tap the panels to choose tools and seeds.
