How to play

  • Pick a job. The first one is a very muddy bike.
  • Hold the mouse button (or your finger) on the dirt to spray it with the pressure washer. The dirt washes off wherever the water hits.
  • Walk around the job to reach every side: drag with the right mouse button or two fingers, use the arrow keys, or hold the ◀ ▲ ▼ ▶ buttons. Scroll or pinch to move closer.
  • Switch nozzles with the buttons or the 1, 2 and 3 keys: Wide cleans big areas gently, Standard is the all-rounder and the Turbo jet blasts rust and spray paint.
  • Tough dirt like moss, grime, rust and paint takes longer. Press Soap (or S) for 12 seconds of double-strength washing.
  • Near the end, press Find (or F) and every bit of dirt that's left flashes pink.
  • Get the job 100% clean to finish it. Beat the par time for three stars, and spend your coins in the shop.

The most satisfying game on the site

Power Wash Cleanup is a free 3D pressure-washing game for anyone who loves the feeling of making something dirty sparkling clean. Each job is a grimy object sitting in a sunny back garden. Hold down the mouse button or your finger, and a jet of water shoots from your pressure washer. Wherever it hits, the mud, moss and grime melt away and the bright colours underneath shine through. The progress bar at the top creeps up towards 100 percent, and when the very last speck is gone, the job sparkles.

There is no rush and no way to lose. It's calm, quiet and strangely relaxing, with the hiss of the washer and the patter of water drops as you work your way around each object.

Ten grimy jobs

The jobs start small and get bigger and dirtier. First comes a red bike caked in mud after a trip through the woods. Then a stone patio and wooden bench covered in moss, and the family car splattered with mud, dust and a few surprises from the birds. After that come a playground slide, a concrete skate ramp covered in colourful graffiti, a garden gnome and birdbath, a big red fire truck, a treehouse with a green roof, a monster truck buried in mud, and finally a stone fountain with a rusty bronze statue on top.

Every object is built in 3D, so you need to walk around it to clean every side. Drag with the right mouse button or two fingers, use the arrow keys, or hold the on-screen arrow buttons to circle the job, look from above or crouch down low, and zoom in close for the fiddly bits.

Different dirt, different tools

Not all dirt is the same. Dust and mud come off in one or two sweeps. Moss and oily grime take a bit longer, and rust and spray-paint graffiti are really stubborn. The Wide nozzle covers big flat areas quickly but gently, the Standard nozzle is a good all-rounder, and the Turbo jet, which you buy in the shop, blasts through the toughest stains. For extra help, squirt some soap into the water for twelve seconds of double-strength cleaning.

When you're nearly done and can't find the last few spots, press Find and every bit of dirt that's left flashes bright pink for a moment.

Stars, coins and upgrades

Every job has a par time. Finish under it for three stars, or a little over for two. You also earn coins, which you spend in the shop on the Turbo jet nozzle, a bigger pump and a mega pump for more power, and extra soap bottles. Replaying an old job for a better time pays a few more coins too.

Good for all ages

Power Wash Cleanup is gentle and easy to pick up, so younger players can enjoy simply spraying, while older players can chase three-star times on every job. It builds patience, attention to detail and the satisfaction of finishing a task properly. There are no ads inside the game, no chat and no sign-up.
